Quoting: EikeI loved the original Desperados. Now I tried to play Shadow Tactics, but somehow...
I cannot stand the genre anymore. :-(
I had the complete opposite experience this summer: After finishing Shadow Tactics (in a hotel in Arendal (which inspired Arendell of the Frozen movies)), I tried to play the original Desperados (which is also available for Linux), but I just couldn't get into it.
Oh, I cannot get into original Desperados anymore either nowadays!

Quoting: Purple Library GuySo I'm sure, since everyone will look at that and think about how it would work before posting, we won't get a bunch of generalized inapplicable "censorship bad cuz snowflakes" posts.
Sure. :-D

There's people so easily triggered though, they would call themselves snowflakes if they'd realize.

Quoting: kibblesYay! I love the nanny state!
Weil, as you're confusing Steam with a state, I knew the rest wouldn't be worth reading. Turned out it wasn't indeed.

I consider this very important news. Nobody except some Linux freaks ;) buys from an unknown company mainly producing Linux laptops. But many companies and private people buy from the big companies and may stumble into this.

What are you playing this weekend? We're Linux distro-hopping

VirtuaVerse. Good point and click, and I love the music!
(How would this style be called, "chip tunes"?)

Ventoy is my new favourite tool for Linux distro-hopping

Quoting: GuestI installed my current system ten years ago, and am still using it exclusively

So, I do not think I qualify as a distro-hopper… I guess I distro-settled a looong time ago.
Thought the same... I had my system over 15 years, until I couldn't figure out a problem... created by 15 years old config files nobody tested against anymore. :-) Reinstalled the same distribution.

So, why distro-hopping when there's [insert your favourite distribution here]? ;-)

eBay used to filter ignoring even spaces. I wasn't allowed to write something like (German) "war schön" (was nice), because "Arsch" is the German word for "ass". Took me some time to figure why they didn't allow me to write that.

Quoting: randylI have mixed feelings about this. I'm not a fan of studios that rehash a recently released game and then charge owners of the original edition again, and even then owners only get a discount until it releases. >Observer_ was released in 2017 and that version isn't even available for purchase on Steam any longer. This feels like something that should have been an upgrade to the original, for previous owners, and maybe with the content split off as a DLC. I have several games in my library where the studio did just that, upgraded existing owners for no additional charge and/or added the content as DLC. >Observer_ had been on my quite long wishlist up until now. I almost bought it during the last Steam Summer sale, but I'm glad I held off. I want to see how they play this out.
Well, for owners of the original, it also has got the price of an upgrade and DLC (5 bucks here).
The article seems to indicate that owners only get this deal until the game officially releases.
Oops, you're right! :-/
