Quoting: eldaking*In fact, some games just don't count, and might even mark you as "not a real gamer"... gamer culture is just horrible in pretty much every way. The leds are silly but probably the least toxic thing.
Don't let those people take away the word gamer from you. I'm playing games, so I'm a gamer.
(Well, I'm mostly a parent at the moment, but I would...! ;) )

Fans being controlled automatically is the best thing I can get.

Quoting: JJNovaHeh, I had the opposite experience with it. I buy most things Devolver Digital and when I'm asked for reccomendations I steer people clear of Red Strings Club. It's more like a visual novel to me. Artsy linear narrative disguised as choices so you felt engaged or that you were being led to interpret the experience, but were beat over the head with a talking point.
I never played a visual novel to end or even near, but liked this game very much. :)
I really was surprised when being confronted with my own choices what

Quoting: GuestThere's also something to be said for Stadia load times - I can indeed get into a game much quicker.
It's especially amazing when getting a new game and playing it for the first time. No more 40 gigs downloading before grabbing the mouse or gamepad (no more disc juggling, for the older ones among us ;) )...

I have just finished The Red Strings Club [External Link], and while it's not traditional point and click, it deserves being played for its atmosphere and the questions it asks. Currently in the Devolver Digital sale for 50% (7 ½ € here).

Quoting: dubigrasuFor the curious, the Vsync settings are the only settings that seem to be affected by this cross-save...feature/bug(?)
I'm sure this is unintentional, a bug.
We're obviously not supposed to fiddle with Stadia video settings.
Nice finding!

Total War: WARHAMMER II and Northgard free weekend, Overcooked! 2 has DLC free to keep

Quoting: MalAwesome! I bought overcooked 2 last week to play with my fiancee during the lockdown. Amazing game. I'm still surprised we will marry despite that game.
Wait until she actually said "Yes." and not "GO COOKING THAT FU**ING PICKLE NOW, WOULD YOU, DEAR?!?"
(I had similar feelings with Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime". :) )

Quoting: EikeIt will [...] not be published alone.
What do you mean by that?
"Standalone" would have been the better word probably.

They have to make it run on Linux to put it on Stadia. But they don't need to adapt it to general desktop usage and publish it. We're not many, so... they might well avoid this.

Quoting: PinguinoDoes this mean the game will be ported to Linux or it could Stadia just be planning on running it under Wine?
Most probably: It will be ported to Linux for Stadia, but not be published alone.

Quoting: Purple Library GuyYou could have a special high-difficulty mode where your country's health system does stupid stuff like make people pay to get tested and treated.
You're surely aware everything else is COMMUNISM!
How could sane people build a society where the sick are helped without being financially punished for being sick?!?

I really wonder if this crisis will make some people rethink some stuff. (If this won't, nothing will.)
