Quoting: TheSHEEEPBut, mind the children...!Quoting: Purple Library GuyThat might explain some of the reactions I've earned...Quoting: TheSHEEEPWeird as it sounds, I was somewhat disappointed when I played the game and couldn't toot the horn.Don't you know that proper society frowns on blowing your own horn?
It felt a bit like playing GTA, but being unable to toot aggressively.

Quoting: appetrosyanIs there a Linux native game that uses Vulkan? I wonder if all the wins are due to OpenGL being bad, or because of something else...Crotean is using Vulkan.

Hm. Not sure what to make of this. Didn't play their latest games yet, but they're not famous for their narratives, are they...?
Still, worth a look.

Boxtron, a Steam compatibility tool to run games through a native Linux DOSBox

It should be in the interest of Valve, too, I think...

Quoting: dreamer_That's an option to be explored. At the moment I am hesistant about receiving donations for this purpose. Going by official Steam rules, this tool would not be allowed on Steam Store [External Link] - and there's simply no precedent here. I will investigate this option again when 1.0.0 release will be in sight :).Maybe Liam could test the grounds?

Quoting: dreamer_It might differ by region, I'm not sure - for my region it's 95USD which would be reimbursed after reaching 1000USD in sales. Somehow I was convinced it was 400USD until I checked just now.If you manage to make all (currently available) Wadjet Eye games playable with this with some mouse clicks by the user, using native Linux binaries, I'd pay this fee.
The Linux-powered Atari VCS sounds like it's coming along

I agree on what you're saying about Valve and Linux gaming...
Quoting: elmapuland the user count didnt changed, i wouldnt call that an sucess, sucess is to expand the marketfrom 0 to tens of millions of units sold (or user count) in a single video game generation.... but this is absurd. (Financial) success is when you're earning more money than your investing. Or the same, when you're paying yourself a decent wage.

Quoting: dreamer_Anyway, with free-to-use tool, I couldn't recuperate the cost of publishing it.What costs (how much) would that be?

Quoting: GuestIs there data to support the claim that Steam Play / Proton harms Linux gaming or it causes game developers to ignore Linux users?Several developers have declined the plea for a port with reference to Proton, and I think even developers removing an existing port have referenced it ("Cat Lady"? Not sure.).
