Inklings, a lemmings-style puzzle game is now out on Linux
18 Oct 2016 at 5:34 am UTC

Quoting: 14You know what this reminds me of? World of Goo. World of Goo beat the wave of small games. If World of Goo came out now, I wouldn't want it. But back then, it was super neat.
I probably wouldn't buy it from sight now, but it would be still worth it I think.
BTW, this is what I'm using steam reviews for: If a game got over 90 or even over 95, I take a second look.
World of Goo has 93%.

Quoting: lucifertdarkIf there's a developer out there that feels like updating the official Lemmings for the 21st century they'd have my money in a heartbeat, I'll be grabbing inklings asap though. :D
It didn't appeal to me, but maybe you would like Flockers [External Link]?

What have you been playing recently, and what do you think?

Quoting: DorthuIt's getting on Halloween, so I've been doing all scary games. Finally played through Amnesia: The Dark Descent - it was very good on atmosphere but the story was meh.
Do play SOMA. The story is... wow.

Rocket League. I wonder if I will be getting better or eventually be giving up on it.

That's great to hear. Something more to show to all those Windows trolls sieging Linux threads in Steam. They might profit.

This was a sophisticated PR campaign to come into the news...!
No, it wasn't. Just some guys doing the best they can.
Glad to see the news was wrong.
The game looks like it might be some guilty pleasure. :)

Steam VR will use Vulkan on Linux, demo shown off on Linux, new Vive controller being made
12 Oct 2016 at 7:47 pm UTC

Quoting: archmage24601Does this mean that any games with windows and Linux versions that support vive on windows will now also support it on Linux?
Not sure about that. It might support Linux on monitor and only Windows in VR.

AMD Zen looks like it will release at CES in January 2017

Quoting: lejimsterI just built a new system for my mom and had to go intel for that very reason, the AMD chipset were lagging behind and I wasn't in a place to wait for the new stuff. I ended up getting her an Intel G4400 (dual core) with 8GB DDR4 and a 128gb SM951 m.2 drive.
If you haven't got a gaming mom, her PC can be so nice and quite and clean and cheap nowadays...!
I've built one [External Link] for my mother-in-law: G3900 dual core, 4 GB RAM, 250 GB SSD. And Debian [External Link].

Quoting: operaUncharted trilogy for Linux VR confirmed!
Trilogy? You mean like in number 3. And we are talking about Valve and VR, that only can mean Half-Life 3 confirmed as Linux VR exclusivity.
... or at least HLVR on Linux?

Quoting: MaCroX95Wow, I was really starting to get concerned what is going on with their Linux support for VR, seems like Valve will never forget about Linux, they are making it stronger gaming platform slowly but surely :)
It's really quite a special company. Like... "We've got money. We've got time. We don't care." X)
