Mad Max to release on 20th of October for Linux & SteamOS, being ported by Feral Interactive

Quoting: g000hThis raises an interesting point. If you buy a game (e.g. when it is on Sale), but don't USE the Steam key (i.e. you don't activate the game on Steam immediately) then you can hold back and activate it when it is out on Linux.
The money would probably be accounted by the shop (for Windows), not by Steam.

My triumph in Rocket League and why you need to own it on Linux

Quoting: liamdaweOut of all the games I've had, maybe three people in total have been dicks. Everyone else has been rather nice, feels very different to games like Dota 2.
I'm not even trying games like Dota or LoL. Call me sensitive, but I just don't want to cope with such... people in my leisure time.

I had a turnaround like this in Frozen Synapse once. What I loved about the game: While the opponent obviously was not happy with what had happened, he still congratulated. A very special community, which you probably won't find in many games - for sure not in Rocket League.

Sorry to say, but...

Feral > Aspyr

(But I've got more than enough love to give for two porting houses, Aspyr!)

Civilization VI for Linux is no longer certain, only a possibility

I feel - and I guess Aspyr would sign this - that after Civ 5 was ported and it was clear from the beginning that Civ 6 should run on Mac and Linux as well, Aspyr should have been involved in the development early, so not only porting it, but transfering from the beginning and in parallel and with some influence on decisions being made. But I guess, Mac and Linux are not strong enough to come into that position...

Looks like Homefront: The Revolution might be gearing up for a Linux release now

I hope it sells well enough on Linux.
I guess I would give it a go with a Linux release sale.
Wouldn't have bought it back in my Windows times...

The Steam Hardware Survey for September 2016 shows Linux has grown some more
2 Oct 2016 at 5:48 pm UTC

Quoting: Aimelaalthough I still use it to play certain games, so I'm glad I didn't get the survey there
You can always decline to take it.

(Which by the way would make a general survey non-representative as well, as we would gladly take the survey, but Windows users may have a higher chance to decline.)

Steam Hardware Weekend sale, bag some cheap kit, Steam Controller now has accessories

Quoting: HoriAnd the carrying case is very good as well, I'd rather keep that and get rid of the original box, if it has special pockets for the data cable and the wireless receiver extender (I don't want them loose in there and potentially scratch my SC)
Looks like it has enough space:

Quoting: HoriIt may be OCD, or it may not, but I really want my SC to be perfect, since it's very precious for me (my first real controller, bought from my very first own money -first salary-, and I also love the way it works and feels)
I totally understand that feelings.

InXile Entertainment announced Wasteland 3, will use crowdfunding on fig
29 Sep 2016 at 10:22 am UTC

Quoting: DrMcCoyThat reminds me: I still need to play Wasteland 2. I started it, got about half-way, then suspended it for a bit (RL, other games) and suddenly, there was a Director's Cut. So I need to restart from scratch there. :)
Couldn't you just continue playing instead? Or is the director's cut that greater? I was more than happy with the ordinary version...
