Time to blow the dust off your VR headset - Metro Awakening is coming

Quoting: elgatilDamm I want to play Alyx again but I'm afraid it won't be as good as I remember :dizzy:
I can't judge for Alyx, but it's seldom like The First Time again. I'd rather leave it in good great memories.

Time to blow the dust off your VR headset - Metro Awakening is coming

I joke – a little, there hasn't been all that many truly great PC VR releases that I've seen recently. I still feel completely spoiled by how exceptionally good Half-Life: Alyx was to play through. Still probably my top 5 gaming experiences ever.
I read similar things in a gaming magazine: Alyx might have been so good that it actually was hurting VR.

Quoting: Purple Library GuyWhat?! Why would they want that? SteamOS isn't designed to be a general-use PC operating system. Using it that way would require quite a bit of tinkering. If you want an "out of the box" experience on PC, use Mint.
Of course it is. It has everything that 90% of people needs and want on a gaming focused scenario. It is a out of the box experience...
... on Steam Deck.
Yes. And people that are asking for the SteamOS for PC want the same experience on... PC. Valve themselves said that.
This is way, way harder to do for a lot of different PCs. Well, I guess this expectation is the reason for them not to release.

Quoting: GuestThat sucks. The only reason I used holoiso is because it's not immutable. I need steamos but be able to actually use it to test my software for steam deck. At least manjaro works on steam deck, even if audio doesn't (because the driver is proprietary, not part of mainline linux). SteamOS being immutable is the absolute worst part of steam deck.
I never used such stuff, but shouldn't an immutable system allow you to have an additional layer on it with your own stuff? If not, well... yes, that'd suck.

The Pokémon Company confirm investigation into Palworld

Quoting: OrkultusNow some Pokemon developers are going to have to sit down and play palworld all the way through just to try and find copywriting somewhere in the game...hahaha.
Well, doesn't sound like the worst job in the world. :D

Quoting: pbI wonder what's keeping Valve from just officially releasing SteamOS for general use.
They answered many times already - it's not ready yet.
Yeah... how many years would that count as an argument?
