Developer of 'Undertale' will apparently have another go at making a Linux port

Getting someone else involved is really what he should have done to start with. Not to mention actually communicating with the public. If nothing's happening, you actually tell people that there's nothing going on, that's basic.
I removed Undertale from my wishlist not long ago because I'd totally lost trust in ever seeing a port, and it's not going back on just from this "announcement".

It's pre-ordering that they tend to be highly critical of.

Quoting: blukpunJust like 'GamingOnLinux' don't believe in crowdfunding projects (if i'm correct), i just can't believe in amd anymore.Eh? The site regularly promotes crowdfunded projects. They just encouraged people to contribute to a kickstarter yesterday, in fact.

I'm mostly interested in the game because the sound design was done by the composer of the wonderful Time's End [External Link] remix of Majora's Mask. Apparently they're involved with the MM fan film as well.

I'll have to give it a miss, sadly. Something about the Half-Life series that really sets off my simulation sickness, even when set at 90 FoV. Which is weird, because almost every other game is fine for me at that setting.

I've had the game for two years now, and it's come a long way in that time. The research and chaos crafting particularly, and I'm only just getting into the lore parts. Jasson's done quite a job with the game, although there are still a few bugs here and there. The windowing thing is bothersome, and I never was able to get the map to completely work.
Over the next couple of weeks, I'm hoping to really get into the full release version, try out the randomized dungeons, fight a boss or three, and so on. Really get my money's worth.

Wait, it's a roguelike? Wow, I passed it over based on the art on the Steam front page, it looks exactly like those Hidden Object games from Artifex Mundi that come up. Have to actually take a look at it now.

So they'll port the sequel to Guardian of Light, but not the game itself? That sucks, since I actually have that game as a leftover from my Windows days, but am left unable to play it without jumping through Wine hoops.

Eh, I tried playing a bit of this back when I used Windows, and found many of the early puzzles very counter-intuitive, and the humour a bit too desperate for my taste. But then, this is the same people who made The Whispered World, which often went way too far in the "Laugh, I beg of you, please!" direction as well. Might give it another try, but I haven't got high hopes.

Quoting: FutureSutureIf you look at trailers for their earlier games, it's clear this is a consistent style for the artist. I thought it was unusual too, but it's not often you see any of the characters in anything close to close-up, so in watching it I found that since it's consistent the style quickly became normalized.Quoting: HadBabitsHmm, looks fun, and I do love me some Dark Soulsian action :) Though, something about the protagonist designs seem a bit too cartoony to me? 0.oI do not know what kind of anime you have been watching, but the faces have been likened to fish. The bit about lacking noses and ears seems to corroborate this.
Edit: Upon closer inspection it's really just their faces that put me off. Looks almost kind of anime? And despite some character showing some facial stubble they all look 12 o3o
Edit²: Woah, on even closer inspection they've got really weird eyes and no nose 0.0
Edit3.0: OR EARS 8U

I am a bit put off from the apparent in the ending(s), which I read about back when I thought there was no chance I would ever play it. Might be worth playing for the rest of the experience anyhow, I'll have to think about it.
