Minimon Monster Catcher Released In Steam Early Access (UPDATED)

Looking at comments from both him and the dev, neither seem to really understand what the problem is. Which is pretty sketchy, so I think I'll stay well away from this one.

Why Are We Still Dual Booting?
13 Mar 2015 at 4:59 pm UTC

I dual boot almost entirely because I need iTunes to manage applications on my iPad, since there are zero good apps for that under Linux. I had intended to use the Windows 7 partition for gaming, the way you'd leave your computer to go play on a console, but I never did end up using it that way. And with the wealth of games coming to Linux these days there's no shortage of fun things to play.

As to Gamer/Linux user, I dunno if I count myself as either in the identity sense. I love games, and I feel most comfortable using Linux, although I'm an odd user in the sense that I'm not an enthusiast or really technically oriented at all. Not sure how to explain why I like Linux over Windows but in the end I do and that's what matters.

Quoting: N30NIf you look at the depots it seems to be the Tomb Raider Trilogy, not just the first one.

Quoting: Segata SanshiroClearly HL3 :P
Quoting: SteamDB CommentRelax people, it's most certainly not Half-Life 3.
That's exactly the kind of thing someone who's going to showcase Half-Life 3 would say! :P

The Book Of Unwritten Tales 2 Officially Released, It's Awesome!

Quoting: fleskThese games are easily some of the best point-and-clicks made the last decade. I've only played the first couple of chapters of this one so far, but I already love it. Can't wait to check out the rest.
That was actually my feeling about Primordia, it was similarly amazing. Guess I really need to get around to finishing the original Unwritten Tales, I think I left off upon entering the orc camp so I don't think there's too much left.

Third Person Exploration Adventure 'AER' To Be Released For Linux

Ooh, this looks amazing. Especially given I'd been thinking lately how I'd love to see more exploration/discovery based games. Even way back in the arcade days, I was always less interested in gameplay than I was in seeing what the next stage or world looked like, so this appeals to me a lot.

I'll definitely be watching for this one.

Aspyr's Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remaster Is Real And It's Out, We Have Keys For You [Key hunt is over]

Scariest for me would be playing the original Silent Hill alone, in the dark, with an empty apartment behind me. The ambient sound design in that game was AMAZING!

Thrillers, well...I can't really think of any that I've even watched. Does Pitch Black count?

Verde Station, An Adventure Akin To Gone Home Is Coming For Linux

Quoting: GNUzelI'll definitely buy that when it comes out for Linux. I enjoyed Gone Home and this is in a spaceship which is even better, and only for $10? Hell yeah
Not sure if you've heard, but the follow-up from the creators of Gone Home has been announced, and it will be taking place on a moon base named Tacoma. Just a teaser so far [External Link], but it's got me wanting more at least.

So when they say "port", they mean "porter".

I approve.

The Dark Inside Me, A 2.5D Unique 3rd Person Point & Click Psychological Horror

I can't get over how terrible the walking animations look, all mechanical and sliding. Given how much walking you're likely to do, I imagine that alone would be enough to totally break immersion for me.

But wow, "Horror game by a horror movie director". As if that automatically translates into being good at game design. Worth noting that said director only has one movie to his credit on IMDB, which doesn't seem to have hit North America yet.

Banished Survival & City Building Sim Is Being Ported To Linux

I was given this for Xmas on Steam, but I can't get it to work right in Wine. It'll be nice to actually play it when the port is out.
