Verde Station, An Adventure Akin To Gone Home Is Coming For Linux
20 Jan 2015 at 3:54 pm UTC

Quoting: GNUzelI'll definitely buy that when it comes out for Linux. I enjoyed Gone Home and this is in a spaceship which is even better, and only for $10? Hell yeah
Not sure if you've heard, but the follow-up from the creators of Gone Home has been announced, and it will be taking place on a moon base named Tacoma. Just a teaser so far [External Link], but it's got me wanting more at least.

So when they say "port", they mean "porter".

I approve.

The Dark Inside Me, A 2.5D Unique 3rd Person Point & Click Psychological Horror

I can't get over how terrible the walking animations look, all mechanical and sliding. Given how much walking you're likely to do, I imagine that alone would be enough to totally break immersion for me.

But wow, "Horror game by a horror movie director". As if that automatically translates into being good at game design. Worth noting that said director only has one movie to his credit on IMDB, which doesn't seem to have hit North America yet.

Banished Survival & City Building Sim Is Being Ported To Linux

I was given this for Xmas on Steam, but I can't get it to work right in Wine. It'll be nice to actually play it when the port is out.

Why does Dreamfall Chapters have two entries? Far as I know, only one game is released so far.

Space Colony Sim Maia Grows, New Version Out Today

Wow, it's really ticking along. It looks so much better now than when I first bought it through Early Access, and Simon is clearly committed to making something great.

This and Crea are hands down the best things I've backed through Early Access.

New Blog Post On Porting Civilization: Beyond Earth From Aspyr Media

Apparently the Mac version is now out. So 2-3 weeks will easily get us the game before the holidays.

Although how GameAgent is handling the pre-ordered codes is kinda weird. I ordered the Linux one, but they're telling me the code is available now. I assume it's the same for both.

Legend Of Grimrock 2 On Linux Is Uncertain

I love Grimrock, and will buy the sequel if and only if it's released on Linux. I would seriously love to play this game, but unless they step up that's unfortunately not happening.

Divinity: Original Sin Delayed For Linux, Again

Well, this goes on the "maybe eventually" pile with Banished, The Banner Saga and Legend of Grimrock 2, I guess. None of them get my $$ until I can play it native.

At least for Civ:BE there's a good track record involved and good status reports so I don't mind pre-ordering.

Aspyr Media Updates On Civilization: Beyond Earth Linux Port Progress

I'll be honest, outside of the really small companies it's rare for me to see these sort of really frequent status updates. I wish we could get this sort of thing more often.
