Quoting: dejaimeIt's worth noting that while Tencent is a minority on paper, in practice that 40% (which gives them the right to nominate Directors to Epic's board) and the amount of money they bring to the table means they pretty much set the agenda at shareholder meetings. They're anything but irrelevant, and you can see their influences in the manipulative monetization practices that have been incorporated into Fortnite as time goes by. Make no mistake, they're in the driver's seat no matter what Sweeny tells people (and likely himself).Quoting: marcusUh ... besides that being irrelevant in total since Tencent has a minority stake in Epic, you need to compare the same unit and the same accounting category to make any sense. Tencent had a net income of 79.984 billion CN¥, which is roughly 12 billion USD.Ops, my bad. I'll fix my previous comment. The number is much less scary now, but still significantly bigger than Valve's.
I disagree that Tencent's being a minority stake makes it irrelevant. It does mean that Tencent has minority vote, and Sweeney is officially still the one making final decisions. But that doesn't mean Tencent does not have any interest in EGS succeeding, thus being irrelevant.

Okay, I like the idea that the time mechanic isn't limited to how often you can use it. I was expecting another one of those cases where you only get so many tries, or you need to build up a gauge before you can use the power. This seems like a different approach with more freedom to experiment.

Quoting: GuestDon't you find it looks better in low resolution ?If 0:06 - 0:10 of this trailer is anything to go by, the pixel-y filter makes it much harder to tell what's going on. So...no. Not really. It just looks fuzzier.

Just...don't trust anything the devs do in the future, that's all.

Quoting: scaineI played Act 1 all the way through in 2013 and was vagely surprised, at the end, to discover that it was a episodic release. Sadly, I never went back to it. I suppose episodic releases only really work if you can keep up momentum and stick to a schedule. There's no point in me buying Act 2 onwards now - I've long forgotten what Act I was about! As crappy as the devs are (long, unexplained delays and extremely little contact with players), they have made something worth playing. Act 2 in particular is brilliant, so I'd recommend replaying Act 1 and then moving forward with it. That's what I'll be doing.

Quoting: EikeIt's actually not all that complex really. Sure, there are ways to min-max things but that's not the point of the game. Farming is straightforward, crafting isn't complex and materials are generally pretty easy to get, and the friendship/romance system is maybe a little *too* simple (it's basically just giving people gifts a couple of times a week, and keeping tracks of what they like). Overall it's very chill, but there are loads of different things you can do if you feel like it.Quoting: NezchanAs to spouses, I've only married three. Leah is great all around, and probably my favourite so far. Maru is a surprisingly good mother, which is something she doesn't really hint at beforehand. Penny is...nice? She's a little too "perfect 50s housewife" for my taste really, but to a degree it makes sense for someone with her background to really want that kind of stability.I start being curious about this game... :S:
This does sound... complex?

According to Steam I've got just shy of 500 hours on it, although that does include some degree of idling in the background while I did something else. So realistically, it's probably in the 400 - 450 range.

Quoting: kusochiTo my knowledge this is what basically all tetrapods look like when they're fetuses, so there's no telling what it will look like mature.Looking it up since it's been ages since I studied that stuff, it's not too different from a 3-week old human fetus, but maybe a little less lumpy. Could be another animal entirely, but my guess is probably a mammal.
Recent updates to Littlewood added a lot of bugs and a nervous looking Sea Monster

I bought Littlewood after Xmas and played a bunch of it. It's good, but nowhere near a complete game yet. There's a lot of content that's just placeholders promising more to come, and a lot of places that could use some polish. Most of the underlying systems are good, if a little grindy at times, and I like how the day passes not by time but by energy expended.
I figure it'll really be something special by summer or so.

Quoting: clatterfordslimidk about SquEnix, but the Life Is Strange devs were showing interest from the first episode, save that the middleware they chose made it difficult. Even then, they were saying future projects would be done with Linux in mind.Quoting: Laboratoryo_ni_NeilFeral Interactive needs to partner with other publishers such as BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment and CAPCOM.How do you persuade these companies to even consider Linux? Square Enix shocked me when they teamed up with Feral Interactive in the first place giving us Life Is Strange and the Tomb Raider serials. No doubt it takes months of meetings, possibly begging in there somewhere too??
Resident Evil 3 Remake and Dragon Ball FighterZ on Linux would be awesome.
