It's definitely got an Ankama look about it, something like Botanicula (sadly not ported to Linux). Hopefully the narrator stays out of it and it's a mostly wordless adventure, much like their stuff. Really good price, too.

Quoting: razing32Obviously it's been a long time and I haven't had any motivation to revisit it, but I remember that it was profoundly bad at giving directions and pretty much all controls were awkward at best. It was also quite happy to kill you outright with little indication of what you did wrong.Quoting: KelsI remember playing this on the SNES back in the day and thinking that it was one of the worst games I'd ever played. I gather there are a few differences between that and the PC version, but I can't imagine it's much less of a chore to play. What made it so horrible ?
People get nostalgic about the weirdest things.
I was actually curios about it when i saw it.

Quoting: lucifertdarkLife is Strange 2 is being developed, episode 1 is due September 27th. no idea when/if it'll appear on Linux but chances are good going on past experience. :DBack when the original came out, I asked if it was coming to Linux and got a reply directly from the developer. They said probably not due to a middleware issue (which fortunately got sorted out in the end) but for following games they'd definitely be paying more attention to that.
So if they still think that way therre's a very good chance we'll get it.

Well, I got Borderlands 2 GOTY and it runs fine on my system, so that's that. I might restart the game from the beginning though, given that there was stuff going on in the house making a bit of noise so I missed a good chunk of the opening stuff.

Quoting: ageresFair enough, then. That's what I'll do.Quoting: EhvisSolution is to switch to True Vault Hunter Mode so the DLC are back at your character level.Or to start a new game as a different character.
Quoting: Kelsso maybe just getting the base game rather than GOTY is a better idea? It'd certainly be cheaper, and I'm unlikely to play much co-op.The DLC of GOTY edition is too good to miss it.

Probably mostly play it single-player, but looking around I gather it's not too bad in that mode when you've got all that DLC to run around in.The base game is great for solo play. Also a lot of gameplay. It took me almost 90 hours to finish all the quests (including the creature arena from the DLC).
The DLC are a different story. When you finish the base game, you're going in over levelled for the DLC and they're no fun at all. Solution is to switch to True Vault Hunter Mode so the DLC are back at your character level, but that makes them quite tough. Some of the bosses can't even be taken down with a full load of ammo. Look like they were clearly balanced for co-op so that the fight just continues after one of the players dies.

Quoting: g000hNoticing that Terraria [External Link] is at 50% discount in the Steam Summer Sale. This is pretty much the lowest it has been for 2 years. It is not the sort of game you normally find a good discount on.I find Terraria to be a lot more fun if you're playing it with people who are used to it than doing it on your own. So if you've got friends who are into it, the game can be all kinds of goofy fun. Dunno if it's really so good at being a single-player experience though.
Overwhelmingly popular too. 2-D Minecraft-style game but lots more depth and content (items, crafting, etc) than Minecraft. I have bought it.

Now that I'm looking at my wishlist, I think that this is a really good opportunity to finally pick up The Mooseman and Lumini, only about CDN$5 for the pair.
