Quoting: ridgeeBy the way, how did you install the beta on Arch? AUR? I don't see version 5.27 even in the KDE-Unstable repo.
It's in KDE-Unstable, but Plasma beta versions use "X.X.90" versioning, so 5.27 beta is 5.26.90, and will get bumped to 5.27 when released.

Upgraded to the beta yesterday and it's all smooth sailing. I have three screens so the multi-monitor improvements are super nice to have

Quoting: dziadulewiczNo thanks; i rather send my monys to Steam because they have a native Linux client and support Linux in other ways too. Epig (typed correctly) and GOG are out of the question for me until they support Linux in a sound way. Yes.
What's better, a forced client as a form of DRM or (playing a free game with) no client?

Wow, a rather unceremonious ending to Unreal innit? Well, it was inevitable.

The best Linux distribution for gaming in 2023

Got my start on Ubuntu, and while I haven't tried it in a while I'm sure Kubuntu is a perfectly ok place to play games on.
Though I personally recommend Fedora KDE and OpenSUSE Tumbleweed to friends who want to try a Linux distro, and most of them enjoy one of those

Surprising probably no one, most people use the Steam Deck as a handheld

If Valve sold hardware here, or if we could actually get any other of those handheld PCs, I'd get one to use it for handheld mainly. I run Ubuntu on my Switch to stream games to it from my Arch Linux PC, such a fantastic solution; handheld gaming that is. Very nice to have.

Mastodon all the way for me. Nextcloud's take on social is interesting too to say the least, I run a Nextcloud instance for me and my friends on a Pi 400, doubt that thing can handle social at the same time though, haha..
