Quoting: TrainDocGoddamnit is my legacy on this site a typo?If it makes you feel better, you inadvertedly brought smiles to a ton of peoples' faces who all make tons of typos themselves, but all of which are not nearly as excellent as the one you made

Quoting: gradyvuckovicThis is it, THE GamingOnLinux comment.Quoting: Purple Library GuyPlease keep the typo in the spoiler. I love the idea of a "websire" even though I have no idea what it would be.He briskly tip toed down the dank hollows of the corridor, with humming servers passing his ears as his eyes scanned the room dimly light by the flashing lights of CPU and DISK READ status lights flashing red and green glow along the decrepit ceiling, lighting up cables laced through vent grills like overgrown vines reclaiming the subterranean floor of the building.
"Hello?", the suited man called out as he adjusted his tie, while approaching the cloaked figure sitting before a collection of differently shaped monitors, scrolling waves of outputs through different terminal windows. The lights of the screens, casting a long shadow from a dark figure sitting before them, that crawled across the floor covered in cables towards the suited man tilting his head to the side as he tried to get a better look at the typing figure with his face buried in the screens.
"Websire.. I.. I have what you asked for..", he stammered as he approached the side of the typing man. The hooded figure turned in his chair, slowly, a squeak meekly whimpering from the ancient 20th century chair below him as he held out his hand.
" - are they, comma, seperated?", his voice hissed.
"Yes.. as you asked, CSV is formatted correctly, I made sure of it... Can you update the site by this afternoon?", the man said as he dropped the USB drive into the basement dweller's hand then stormed off.
"Also turn on some lights damn it, it's dark down here.", the boss said as he flipped the light switch while walking out to light up the messy room, drawing a screeching hiss from the web developer.
Here's how to get the EA App on Steam Deck with Bottles

What's the difference between Lutris and Bottles? This looks promising.
Using the EA App to play Battlefield 4 via Lutris myself, and "on my machine" it works stellar (genuinely perfectly) until it has to update, at which point I need to reinstall it in a new prefix :P
Regardless, if anyone else reading this is wondering about it, for me it's much better than Origin, and I've been advocating its adoption pretty strongly for those still using that. Give it a shot first and then decide if it works out or ends up being the worst piece of crap you've ever used as well.
I installed it in a clean Wine prefix with nothing special installed, not even Mono, using Lutris Wine or GloriousEggroll's Wine.

I hope Valve takes this to heart, and gets to work.

That is really quite nice, I would expect there to be a bit more trouble getting it to work, but that's relatively painless and smooth. I do hope Valve adds an "Install Windows game..." option next to "Add non-Steam game..." or something alike. Would definitely make it easier to install games and use, say, Legendary in CLI mode to install Epic Store titles.
Now I don't use Steam myself, but that's the solution I used to install Tetris Effect in one of my Wine prefixes. In that prefix, I used the Windows version of the Legendary binary to install Tetris Effect and presto that's it; I bet that would work out very well in Steam, being able to install an Epic Store game without having to go through the launcher to play it. Definitely not as straightforward without a few tweaks to the Steam client from Valve I'd guess, but the end result is pretty sweet.
Anyway, I wonder, how come people are so eager to install SteamOS on their desktop computers? What sets it apart from Arch with KDE Plasma, or Manjaro KDE, both of which will supply a more recent kernel?

Quoting: Liam DaweI wanted to use it, but I think my phone is incompatible or I just don't get it. But I'm glad it works!Quoting: ridgeWhat's blocking SteamVR on Linux for me is not being able to, with an official first-party method, toggle my lighthouses power state via Bluetooth. But I'm crossing my fingers for a solution one day.I found the Android app is pretty much perfect for it.
