Quoting: namikoIt's an issue of responsibility: How much should the average citizen be responsible for their own foolish mistakes? Some think government should take more responsibility for these mistakes, others, less responsibility.
The average citizen is fine. It's the most vulnerable of us who need a hand. Survival of the fittest is not a sound social policy.

Quoting: JanneIf you'd buy one Tomb Raider, which one do you recommend?
Tomb Raider = Very Good
Rise of the Tomb Raider = Very Bad
Shadow of the Tomb Raider = Good
I have to say I enjoyed Rise just as much as the first one. Reviews aren't bad either, so I must not be the only one. But I'd suggest you get Tomb Raider (2013) first simply because it's the cheapest and the first in the reboot series.

Quoting: PatolaWill it have RTX and DLSS like the Windows version [External Link]? I would very much like to test my RTX 2070 SUPER with it...
I would too. But since they likely ported off the DX11 version, I don't expect it will.
Maybe it took so long because they ported off the DX12 version and couldn't fully leverage their existing tooling and code? Wishful thinking, I know, even if it would technically make sense. Especially in the long run.

Just beautiful. I'm not sure if I'll enjoy the combat, but everything else looks great.

Quoting: EikeFor the records, that's 70% increase!
(You have to take the original number as reference for an increase, so it's 85/40 = 1.7 = 170% = 70% increase.)
85/50, not 85/40, but I guess you already noticed as the 70% is correct.

Quoting: GuestI think i see what you mean. X-Com is more of a strategy game with a lot less dialog/text, so it is easier to voice.
True, but man there's games out there with hours upon hours with scripted text voiced. There's no technical limitations on doing so, it's "just" work involved.
Hours upon hours of studio-produced voice over by professional actors can't be cheap. And there aren't many genres of game with as much text/dialogue content as an old-school, non-linear cRPG. It's "just work" only if the developers happen to be competent voice actors with a decent studio setup.

Quoting: DesumThey really need to having kids read more stoic literature in class.
Agreed, kids (and adults) should read more literature in general.

Quoting: DesumIt's pathetic how thin skinned people are these days and I think making it so easy to tune everyone out has contributed to that.
I don't think people are any more thin skinned now than they always were. And tuning people out is surely much harder now in the era of social networks than before. The problem is, most of what you read and hear are opinions and reactions to these opinions, whereas information and moderate analysis are drowned out by the noise. You gain more than you lose by filtering it and ignoring those who shout the loudest. Too bad we only tend to filter out loud voices we disagree with.

Quoting: M@GOidSince you prefer the symmetrical analog stick layout, give the DS4 a shot if you can.
I have played some games on a PS4, and I must have used a DS4 to do so. I've only owned Logitechs myself, but that doesn't mean I've never touched a different brand. :)
