Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun beta patch dramatically improves performance and load times

Quoting: PatolaSome people said Wasteland 2 (which I just bought on that humble bundle classic, but haven't played yet) also works that way.
Wasteland 2 is a classic cRPG, much like a modern Fallout 2. Not surprising, as the original Wasteland is said to have been a big inspiration for Fallout. While the combat is turn-based and tactical, there's a lot more to the game. I loved Wasteland 2, but it doesn't seem similar to Satellite Reign or Shadow Tactics.

The Humble Classics Return Bundle is a really good deal for Linux gamers

Quoting: throghWell, another bundle with mostly DRM-content locked by Steam. Thanks, but not needed! :)
As soon as someone codes a "throgh-bot" to post "STEAM IS EVIL DRM! I SHALL NOT BUY THIS!" under every article that mentions Steam, you're not needed either.

Wait, maybe they already did? Impossible to say.

Quoting: slaapliedjeIn case you missed these RPGs; Wasteland 2, Shadow Run, Bard's Tale (4 is coming!), Pillars of Eternity, Tyrant, Neverwinter Nights:Enhanced Edition, plus all the other EE games. Of course if you do like old school RPGs, GOG has all the gold box ones wrapped up for Linux too.
They are all old school /sometric RPG (i.e. Baldur's gate style). That's nice, but we have zero first person RPG with a non linear story and/or open world. Maybe Dying light (rpg/action) but that's all. One game.

Some games like Skyrim, Gothic 3, Kingdom Come: Deliverance etc. are really missing on Linux.
We've got good old Witcher 2.

I guess your definition of rpg/action should cover Mad Max and Shadow of Mordor as well. And Tomb Raider? Personally I wouldn't call these RPGs though. I like open world action games with plenty of exploration, but their stories don't leave much room for role-playing.

Sci-fi mystery 'The Station' has released, it’s a short but memorable experience

I'm totally fine with a two hour experience. It's a decent length for a feature film, so why not a game.

On the other hand, I can't justify paying more for a two hour game than I'd pay to see a movie, so this will go on my wishlist for now.

but what is the relation between RotTR and the teaser "O VAIN ILLUSION OF GLORY AND GRANDEUR" ?
It was the bus in London?
It wasn't the bus. For a plausible explanation, check this comment by tumocs.

Quoting: MintedGamerThese great, entertaining, games get a Linux version and then Linux gamers find excuses not to buy them.
"This game isn't something I'd enjoy" seems like a damn good excuse to me. Paradox is a great developer, but our community might very well be too small to support their particular niche at this point. I do hope they'll manage to keep supporting Linux though.

Windows 10 S might alarm Valve into boosting SteamOS again

Quoting: appetrosyanRight now the biggest one I face, is the fact that in a complex scene, the rendering speed drops. this all due to the way in which frames are buffered in X.org, and is one of the main reasons why the switch is being made.
OpenGL and Vulkan drivers on Linux make use of direct rendering, communicating directly with the hardware. Frames are not presented through an X.org buffer. What you said is mostly true, but it doesn't affect gaming that much.

Extreme downhill biking game 'Descenders' flips into Early Access, some initial thoughts

Quoting: knroGot it yesterday since I used to bike quite a bit when I was in college. It worked flawlessly even on SteamLink. Is this based on UE4? All my UE4 games just display green screen on SteamLink.
It runs on Unity.

Quoting: GuestDR and Grid is abandoned by Codemasters.
What do you mean Dirt Rally and Grid Autosport are abandoned? Both are still sold and supported as far as I can tell. Are you perhaps thinking about VP's port of Dirt Showdown and the original Grid, which was never supported on Linux?
