Quoting: GuestDebian derivatives are a waste human resources and does have years old buggy software.
That was a seriously lame attempt at trolling. Please try again.

Quoting: Guest2D games are old.
Except for the ones that are new.

Quoting: Guest"Those are some slick looking graphics!"

More like graphics from the Commodore 64 era. Bruce Lee from 1984:
You probably thought that Quake looked exactly like Wolfenstein 3D, and that the Tomb Raider from 2013 looks no better than the one from 1996? Maybe you need a better monitor or something? :)

So pretty! So smooth!

Wishlisted, despite the "nut-twisting". Ouch.

Bridge Constructor Portal announced with Linux support, blending engineering with portals
6 Dec 2017 at 3:10 pm UTC

Quoting: lucifertdarkI have all the older Bridge Constructor games & both Portal games, now there's one that combines both together. Count me in. :D
Did you actually enjoy the originals? I only played the first one and thought it must be the least fun bridge building game I've ever tried. I can't remember names, but there are free flash games around that do it better.

I do like how this one looks and I just love Portal, but I'll have to see a few reviews before I even consider having it on my wishlist.

Quoting: throghWow, another bunch of hardware supporting proprietary platforms: Making "Linux" just a little bit more feeling like closed-in systems? No thank you. :D
How exactly does any amount of proprietary hardware running Linux make Linux itself feel like a closed system? Or is it just some subset of distributions (like SteamOS) that rub you the wrong way?

You should stop fighting imagined evils and start enjoying the fact that our favourite operating system is slowly but surely conquering the world. Linux is still an open project under an open license, and no one will be able to change that.

If some particular flavour of Linux isn't to your taste, use something else. If some software running on Linux doesn't fit into your narrow mold of what is acceptable, even if it fully complies with the licenses, please just ignore it. Your constant grumbling is pointless.

Quoting: lucifertdarkI would much prefer to have them say "we found a bug & fixed it" rather than "we found a bug & we'll fix it some time in the next month or so", fix it then tell us it about it.
How exactly would it be better if they kept us in the dark? On the contrary, I'd much prefer it if they had a public bug tracker.

Quoting: christoossNo mentions of this being a Supaplex clone?
Ahhh... Supaplex. I spent a good while trying to remember the game this reminds me of.

I don't think this is a game for me. I like puzzle games, but timers kill the fun.

Arkaia: The Enigmatic Isle is a short and intriguing first-person puzzle game

If you want a short, Myst-like experience for cheap, try Haven Moon. I just recently bought it from the Humble Store [External Link] for a measly 0.89€ and seems like it's 80 % off for a few more days. It took me about 3 hours to puzzle through, and despite some minor annoyances like puzzles that require some running back and forth around the place and a rather flimsy story, it really captures the feeling of Cyan's games. I mean, the game doesn't hold your hand, but none of the puzzles felt unfair or illogical.

Quoting: BeamboomHow linear are these games? Is it more or less a fixed path, a dungeon crawler of sorts?
They are modern takes on a classic cRPG formula, more specifically that of Baldur's Gate. There's an overarching story with optional side quests in a well-developed, lore-filled fantasy world. Plenty of freedom in character development and several party members to recruit, all with their own unique stories and personal missions.
