Quoting: liamdaweI especially love the system requirements for Linux "Processor: Potato+", that's the kind of humour I like to see. Doesn't tell you much of course, but it indicates that it should run on most systems. And specially the last part...

Quoting: razing32Hmm , that trailer did not tell me much. Is it just a shoot-em up in space ? or is there more to it ?The trailer is specific for the "hypermelee" space battles only, that was the first feature "released" in the beta a few days ago. The game will have story and travel between the stars metting aliens like the previous Star Control games (though not the same as in the Ur Quan Masters SC2) and if attacked the combat will be 1:1 arcade shoot-em up that till one side runs out of ships.
Quoting: Stardock SiteThe beta unlocks the Fleet Battles feature, where you'll assemble ships in a fleet and engage in battle with fleets controlled by either the computer, humans via the Internet, or even friends sitting at the same PC.> This Preview Youtube Video [External Link] has a bit of everything planned. Thougth it dosn't show much of the galaxy map or interaction with the species. You can also see videos from earlier games.

Aparently there is an freemium online version with ads at https://starblast.io/# [External Link] and one good thing about it is that it has a few community link: reddit, discord and wiki where there are some tips.
For example you can see what is the RCS in the wiki - https://starblastio.gamepedia.com/RCS [External Link] - though admitedly took me be a bit of time to find.

So I took the free Jump trial to try Orion Trail and completed Ittle Dew, what a sweet puzzle game it is :D
Now I'm in puzzle mode so I'm going for Slayaway Camp that was in the Humble Gems Bundle. EDIT: This one is crashing frequently and there is a steam community thread [External Link] were crashes were reported by other linux users with NVIDEA.
