Core Keeper 1.0 planned for Summer 2024, dev says it's had 2 million downloads

I feel fortunate not all devs are like those and we're having a good team behind Core Keeper. They've always put big effort on their game. And this kind of devs are the ones we need to keep enjoying them. :)
I'm also glad Terraria is getting some love too, even after all these years!

Quoting: nwildnerCore Keeper is such a great game. Some Terraria+Stardew Valley vibes, challenging bosses and really fun if you like that kind of game.Starbound... One that could have been for sure one of my favourites. I'm just sad to see the only one who still cares about that game is the community.
It only lacks optimization. Damn, even with a 3070ti(Laptop) the game will be stuck on 50FPS no matter if you set the graphics quality to High or low.

It's always a good notice when an open-source project gets more support. I'd love if more desktops got more funding though. I love Gnome but there are more who deserve it. And that's a lot of money!
I'd love to see more love towards KDE. They're doing an awesome job. I think at least it has some support from Valve and people like us who also love them.
I ended my distro-hopping now I'd love if I could end my desktop-hopping.

I've also experienced the minimap bug, and also dealt with invisible life and mana. I'm not sure about this last one and the minimap, but I guess letting steam get the shaders and not skipping them fixed this.

Quoting: wytrabbitNative performs pretty great now, but there are a couple bugs still. Most notably is the missing character models on the character select and creation screens. It's annoying but not difficult to deal with, especially since on the character select you can click your character names on the right.Definitely the one on the characters screen is annoying. This game looks really good, but I don't like the fact that the bug was reported months ago yet they still haven't released a fix for it.
One time the features on the minimap disappeared but a quick Verify Files fixed it.
I can even play it on my new S76 Pangolin, the AMD integrated graphics handle LE like a champ!

With each update the game grows, with it my love. Can't believe the amount of effort and passion the devs are putting into it. When I found this hidden gem, it was really great even with the bit of content it had.
Now it's grown to the point that I cannot be more glad they're making all of this. I hope they grow bigger without losing their humble touch.
I really recommend getting this game if you're not already into it. Definitely some of the best money I've ever spent. It's really fun playing alone, but it's one of those games that makes your experience incredible played with friends.

I always wonder on these releases... Are they better than using Proton Experimental by default? I've used both of them and I don't really see any difference at all.
I've heard of Proton Experimental being less stable, but did not experience anything like that at all.
Would there be any benefit of switching one or the other?

Oh my. Does this mean we might be able to change it for the close-sourced version soon?
If that's the case, it's not just exciting. It's finally a freaking game changer (literally hahaha). I didn't think this would go as fast. :)
Do you know if it's already possible to try it?
