I'm intrigued because of the Latin America setting. That said, I would prefer Spanish and/or Portuguese (if Brazil is involved) dialogue with subtitles.

Fedora threatened with legal action from OBS Studio due to their Flatpak packaging

For as much praise as I've seen Fedora get in recent years, their Flatpak repo comes across as a rather surprising oversight.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater releases in August

I can't tell whether they got the original voice cast back, or they're just re-using all the voice recordings from the original game.

I like that Snake vs Monkey is back. I don't like that this uses Unreal Engine.

SteamOS-like Bazzite Linux has some nice growth thanks to great handheld PC support

I imagine I show up in the Bazzite statistics, but despite using Aurora on both of my laptops, you won't see me in Aurora statistics. I very rarely power on my laptops. Either way, I like what Universal Blue team offers, and I'm happy to use their distributions.

Stellar Blade to be optimized for the Steam Deck and other "UMPC environments"

I was curious about this game, so I'm glad it's coming to PC. I never got a PS5 since I ended up switching full-time to PC.

PS2 Emulator emulator PCSX2 should get Wayland support "in the coming months"

PCSX2 feels like it's improved a lot in the past couple years. When I first started using it, I'd often see lines when playing games upscaled; that's pretty much gone now.

Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2 now available on GOG - plus GOG Dreamlist replaces Community Wishlist

This is nice and all, but I'm not even going to bother buying these. The GOG releases of the classic Resident Evil games don't work on Linux, or at least didn't for me. Why would these be any different? I'd rather just emulate the Dreamcast and/or PS1 versions.

FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH broken on Linux with NVIDIA GPUs but works with AMD GPUs like Steam Deck

Whelp, game is unplayable for me. Launching it normally gives me the message, "Your PC does not support DX12", and trying to launch it with -dx11 like Remake gives me "Fatal Error".

Thanks for nothing, Square.

Even with SteamOS coming to more systems Bazzite has no plans to go anywhere

I'm not surprised, but it is good to hear.

Bazzite has a nice introduction that makes it easy for someone to install emulators and the like, which SteamOS doesn't have. That's in addition to things mentioned in the Reddit post like printing support. Also, Bazzite is way more up to date on Plasma and other KDE software than SteamOS. It's actually kind of surprising how behind Plasma is on SteamOS, considering the Arch base.

Essentially, I think Bazzite is better than SteamOS if you want something that can serve as a general purpose desktop OS in addition to gaming. That's why I'll keep running Bazzite on my desktop, even if SteamOS expands beyond handhelds into desktop.

Google and The Linux Foundation team up for 'Supporters of Chromium-based Browsers'

Oh, and every-time i use Firefox, I always end up going back to Chrome. I just never have a good experience with Firefox personally.
Complete opposite for me. I can't stand the way Chrome, or Chromium-based browsers like Brave, organize my bookmarks. I don't like how few shortcuts I can have on Chrome's New Tab page compared to Firefox.

I like that Firefox has container tabs so that I can open different websites in different containers, like having every Google related tied to a specific container. I like the built-in tracking protections Firefox has, in addition to extensions like uBlock. I like how good Firefox Sync is, and how it lets me send tabs from my devices to my desktop. Yeah, Chrome has the same feature, but I've never found it to work as well as Firefox.

And mobile (Android)? Don't get me started. Chrome on Android is completely unusable. Without adblocking DNS, I get inundated with ads that make trying to browse the Web a non-starter. Even with aforementioned DNS, I get white spaces where the ads would've been. Thanks to extension support, I can use uBlock on Firefox Android and have none of those issues. I also get access to Dark Reader, which darkens every page for me and makes things easier on my eyes. Last I checked, Chrome can only do that if you enable a night mode flag; and I prefer not to mess with flags. On top of that, I can have the address bar in Firefox on the bottom of the screen, providing easier access for my thumb. Again, last I checked, Chrome does not have this on Android.

For me, Firefox just works so well across the board that I would be genuinely upset if it were to disappear. Taking away Firefox and making me have to use Chrome would be like robbing me of Plasma and forcing me to use GNOME.
