Uhh, we have a PS3 (3xxx model, slim) and 2 Dualshock 3's, neither has failed yet but I heard horror stories from others. The PS3 is around 10 years old but used lightly. I also set up RPCS3 and that single PS1 game bought from PSN so I can keep playing on PC in the future.

Steam itself never had Wayland support, that may be why Steam Overlay does not work. Does mangohud work?

Valve doesn't need much to make a Steam Deck 2 a huge success

Xbox & Playstation release a new console every 6-7 years with usually one hardware refresh in between. These refreshes do not increase performance but usually make the console smaller and decrease power draw by using smaller nm chips. We could see a "Steam Deck Slim" with same horsepower and chassis but longer battery life.

I should add they didn't screw up when adding Linux EAC support initially and they fixed missing .so file problem in a few hours only. I hope Linux bans will be reversed as soon as possible.

Added compatibility for Linux kernels with Indirect Branch Tracking IBT)
It means hell yeah! (For me, at least) Indirect Branch Tracking is a security feature in Intel Gen 11+ GPUs. Enabling IBT requires all kernel modules to be compiled with certain options, which is not a problem for mainline modules but breaks Nvidia driver. On Arch Linux based distros, (IBT is disabled upstream, for now) having an Intel Gen 11+ processor required a kernel parameter, otherwise Nvidia driver crashes and you get no display output.
TLDR: I was waiting for this for almost a year.
