There is a slim chance that Ubisoft may have tried to add Linux EAC support but screwed it up so it could be fixed on our side. I am obviously very optimistic here.

I can imagine this tool will be Windows-only but then perhaps it might even work in Wine.
A phone is required instead of PC for initial setup initial firmware update so they may use the phone app for enabling Bluetooth as well.
