Oh my... The backslash is HUGE! So huge that VRChat is hardly an important game anymore.

Quoting: ElectricPrismThe day has finally come. Does anyone know the install size? I'm assuming 100G which is steep but to try H:I I wouldn't be opposed.23 GiB base game, 8 GiB HD textures for multiplayer. Base game does not include campaign.
Edit: I laugh at the coolness of being able to have Halo Deck Party

Also the open drivers have some problems that are unexistent in closed source like broken NvEnc and in my case, broken suspend.
Not to mention that graphics stack is not open sourced, instead pushed into the firmware.
Even GOL statistics show that <%2 of users use open source drivers for Nvidia GPUs.
Sure, the open sourcing of drivers is a step forward but we are far away from finish line, so going all AMD is still very sensible.

Quoting: Liam DaweNot yet in my opinion. The open source drivers are not even mainlined so you have to install them seperately, like installing closed source drivers. Installation is just slightly easier ie. Secure boot is less of a problem.Quoting: TermyOpen Source Friendly and Nvidia Graphics don't really fit together...They don't?

Quoting: elmapulany chance of getting this running into SteamDeck/steamOS ?Your biggest barrier would be read only filesystem. Honestly I would just use container / VM for installation, if Unreal needs to modify system directories like /opt. If it installs anywhere under /home, you can install it perfectly fine because /home isn't read only.

Quoting: BlackBloodRumIt would be cool to see how regular Linux is on this thing, as I plan to do this myself at some pointWe know Valve upstreamed drivers for everything (except controller, maybe) so it should be possible. Luke Short (dev of winesapOS) has uploaded SteamOS stuff to AUR, if you are interested.

Quoting: GuestSteamOS will always be biased towards Steam.which is exactly why I desperately want to download Ayaneo OS. SteamOS has good Steam imtegrations, but what if Aya has not only Steam but also Epic, GOG, Origin etc. integrations? What if they have created the ultimate Lutris?
