Nice! I didn't really expect that. But I didn't expect the letters to transform into shapes when I plugged in my DS3 to my PC (running Steam Beta in Deck UI) either.

A 16-core CPU obviously isn't necessary to emulate PS3 but say if you want 4K 60/120 FPS then it might be necessary.

Steam for ChromeOS is only for a few select devices, the reauitements for Steam on ChromeOS is i5/i7 CPU and 7 GB RAM. So very few of the Chromebooks.
