Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition gets a big community patch keeping it alive

I'm only waiting for a single feature that probably will never be implemented to jump back in. The party direct control, as we have on the Infinity Engine games or on NWN2.

I have to confess that nothing on teasers excite me about this game.

Battlefield 1 gets EA anticheat in September - will be left broken on Steam Deck / Linux

Quoting: Mohandevir
Quoting: eldarionAnd this is why you should not rent a game (which is what you do when purchase anything on steam).
Please explain because, from my point of view, you will get this forced update, no matter where you bought the game, else you will get blocked from playing the game. It's not a renting or Steam issue, it's a live service game issue.
I was not referring to online games in particular, but the state of gaming in general. I'm sorry to bring this to you, Steam Deck lovers, but steam is an aweful store. You, as an open source OS users should know that. Or maybe not, if all you care is Steam Deck itself (no matter if it runs Linux, windows or temple OS).

I'm curious to see how good the new episode is. As for everything else, we already have it and better with gzdoom. It's basically another attempt to cash grab a few extra bucks.

Fallout: London mod for Fallout 4 has released today on GOG
27 Jul 2024 at 11:36 am UTC

... and it's a mess.

It does even launch. I installed the recommend version of fallout 4, installed fallout London on a separate folder, launched it's installer. Everything went fine, but when launching the game, the fallout4 runs for a couple of seconds and then crashes silently.

TheForceEngine adds initial Dark Forces Remaster support

This is really great news. The remastered has great hd textures but the kbd+mouse controls are awful. Finally we can have the best of both worlds.

Many thanks to the Force Engine team.

Archrebel Tactics is a wild sci-fi turn-based strategy game inspired by Rebelstar and X-COM

Where is the planetary view and base management? Where is the research, the allocation of scientists to projects, the allocation of tech people to make resources, the planetary interception?

There was a time when "x-com like" meant all that. Now, it only means turn based combat with party management. It's so sad...

This game is just a modern Laser Squad. Leave the x-com out of this, please.

Sid Meier's Civilization VII arrives in 2025 with a teaser

A big load of nothing. We want gameplay footage, Sid Meier's. Not crappy trailers that have nothing in common to the actual game.
