I played it on my "normal" ultrawide (21:9 3440x1440) and it was totally fine, I guess this support is just for the extremes.
I thought the game was great up until a part (I think near the end) where I was in a section that had a REALLLLLY annoying puzzle that would constantly repeatedly instakill me and it was just trial and error trying to find out how not to die a million times in a row. I quit then. But had a blast up until that point.

I've never used mangohud (I just use the built in kde plasma perf monitor + steam's built in fps display) but does this mean mangohud was reporting the wrong fps values before this update?

This isn't my normal genre go-to, but with all the fanfare I might have to give it a try and go outside my comfort zone a bit. Might find something really new and nice!

Hate to see it. I'm hoping that after this disastrous past year we might start to see the pendulum swinging the other way. That said, I've never heard of this studio, and after checking their games, it's because they just release in genre's I'm not interested in. For fans of those genres, I hope the individual developers can find other good studios, but I bet it's a tough hiring environment out there right now.
Steam hits another all-time user record with over 40 million online

Yes for sure 2025 will be another record breaker!! haha.
I always use these numbers and combo the hwsurvey whenever games come out lacking proper ultrawide support, and the discussions always devolve to "nobody plays on uw, go whine somewhere else" garbage...
40 million active steam users.
roughly 3% on ultrawide res.
that equals 1.2 million active steam players who can't play your game properly. That adds up to a TON of lost sales / refunds. It's astonishing to me that any modern games still come out lacking support, but ... they do.

child safety, or really the safety of anyone anywhere any age, has nothing to do with it at all. That's all just lies. It's all about access. The gov HATTTTTTEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS that it can't see inside the encrypted comms apps. It drives them absolutely nuts not being able to illegally spy on every single citizen constantly all the time without any form of due cause whatsoever. They will do whatever it takes to break this barrier, and they will not stop. It's just a symptom of corrupt power hungry governments who have long since abandoned governing in the people's interest.

I find it interesting there's just a $50 gap between the two. Which means .... why does the regular 9070 even exist? If you're spending that kind of money, the difference is negligible and you get a much better card.
edit: actually comparatively the prices seem quite good, lol.
