Two Point Museum gets a big free content update with a new large UI scaling setting for Steam Deck

I had save game corrupting crashes with this game on my linux desktop. Extremely frustrating because it was so much fun. But I'd be editing a space, then GONE ... the game would crash to desktop, and upon reload the entire save file would not load and said it was corrupt, so that entire museum was gone.

I think there were roundabout fixes to help the save corruption, but I saw others with the same crashing problem, so I just gave up.

Maybe this update has fixed it!?

The other biggest issue that gets the most discussion is the total and complete removal of thieves (or a settings toggle for on/off). I'm up for that. Currently they're still in the game, but the devs had massively dialed back how annoying they are. I wish they just weren't there at all. Totally kills the fun for me.

EA and Codemasters no longer making WRC (World Rally Championship) or any other rally games

Current codemasters are a pale shade of their former rockstar dev selves. It's sad to see the end of an era, but honestly, it might be time to let EA let it go.

Nice! Very happy about their progress! I tried out the new fedora spin they have and while it seemed nice, it definitely has that "alpha beta" level of polish and features to it. Once it fully releases out of beta in a few years time I'll definitely try it out as a daily driver.

11 bit studios are remaking the original Frostpunk in Unreal Engine 5 with Frostpunk 1886

Having recently spent 120 hrs playing a ue5 game and absolutely loving every minute of it, and also at the same time having zero issues whatsoever, I can say that it 100% depends on the developer's skillset with the engine.

Obsidian must be the #1 unreal engine developer on earth right now.

... anyway ... I'm just saying that it being unreal engine itself isn't always a bad thing. Worthless pointless remakes/remasters/rewhateverthefucks is DEFINITELY a bad thing.

The game is great, remaking it a worthless waste of time. What a shame.

Steam Deck Verified round-up highlights for late April 2025

Chains of Freedom looks pretty neat, and it has a demo!!

oh, and like with so many other big game launches these days, oblivion might SAY it's verified but it's a dirty lie. I don't know why they keep doing this but .... it's pretty ugly on the Deck. Far better off to play the original w/ mods on Deck.

^ for me, it's the sense of wonder, discovery, exploration, and randomly running around discovering who-knows-what. "hey what's that over there?"

Nobody does it better. There is a mountain worth of valid complaints that can be levied towards Bethesda, but they're the masters of the open world feel.
