Last Epoch to get 'Item Factions', a unique item trading system for the ARPG

Can't wait for full release!! I played a bunch last year on one of their big beta updates, and loved the game. Felt the animations and sound could use some work, but hopefully that bit of polish will be there on release. At its core though its a really good game with lots of staying power.

I am definitely a SSF player in arpg's, so I would for sure be doing the Circle of Fortune. Also, I'm sure they addressed this, but I'm guessing there's some mechanism in place to prevent assholes from finding some super buffed item in the Circle, then quitting and joining the Bazaar, selling it, then going back to the Circle.

Pillars of Eternity from Obsidian has a new patch coming nearly 9 years after release

Pillars 2 is probably my favorite rpg I've played in the past 5 years. And I've played a LOT of rpg's. It was just sooooooooooo good. I am very excited to see how Avowed turns out. And I never did play Pillars 1, I just can't stand real time combat, so without the turn based mode implemented in PoE2, I just can't do it. Too bad because updates like this make me want to go back and try it, but ......... nope.

Okay boomers, you get a shooter category on Steam now

damn - I was really hoping that the genre would be renamed since it makes zero sense. As @tuubi said - not made nor played by boomers. I think it's hilarious that if I tried explaining this genre to my 80 yr old father who IS a boomer, he'd be so confused he'd want to immediately change the topic of conversation.

But alas, now that steam has done this, I feel its doomed to forever be stuck.

MSI teasing a handheld gaming PC like the Steam Deck

Quoting: gradyvuckovicFirst hint they provide is a dark image showing the RGB colourful lighting rings around what is no doubt the joysticks and already immediately I have absolutely zero interest in the device.

I'm sooooo completely over the overkill of RGB lighting in everything 'GAMERRRR!' related in the world of tech right now. Next PC I buy is going to be a black metal box and I'm going to shop around to find all the components I can get with the fewest number of lights possible, and any lights remaining after that, I'm going to black em out with permanent marker.
haha! I'm in the exact same boat my friend. Last pc I built in 2020 was with a bequiet matte black case. It's just a black metal rectangle with some vents in it, and that's it. I love this case. It was kind of sad though, a LOT of the other components I had to manually go turn off the garbage RGB I didn't even know they had. Both the ram I bought and the mobo had defaulted on blinky nonsense that was so irritating. I had to go into the bios and disable it.

The defining question: will it have a suspend mode similar to the deck or not? None of these handhelds are worth a penny if not. I don't know the Ally has added it post release but it didn't ship with this feature, right?

I am not using the betas as I use my gaming machine also for work, so I don't want to cause weird glitches when working, but I'm excited for the full release this winter!

I completely agree on the time commitment. That's the main thing that always keeps me away from 4x's. Well ... that and the insane learning curve for the ui/mechanics. Definitely going to keep an eye on this one.

Man, a blast from the past! I think this is very near the bottom of my wishlist on steam when sorted by "date added" - I had completely forgotten about it! It's been so long though, I think I'll wait for release and reviews before getting excited.

depending on the implementation, this might force me to finally upgrade to the ultrawide oled I've been eyeing for a while.
