i run pop 22.04 on my laptop (13700h/rtx4060)- and I installed the cosmic de - mostly to check out the nvidia wayland performance w/ driver 555. feels pretty snappy - think it will be pretty good once it is all finalised. like some of the other comments - really hanging for that 24.04 upgrade ..........................

as someone who had to hold down left shift on the pc startup to enable extended memory so that the original doom shareware would load on my parent's pc and also make levels in a wad editor.
i really enjoyed 2016 but didn't care much for eternal. imo in eternal they really forced you to play a certain way rather than leave it up to the player to decide how they will take care of business - also mega neon which didn't feel doomlike to me. kind of looks like the trailer is bit more doom eternal than 2016 might get it on a heavy discount to hopefully find out i was wrong.

Nice it is coming to PC but yeah psn for a single player game no thanks. I've got their first one on gog - also ghosts of Tsushima on steam but only playing single player so no psn. 'Tis a shame.
Like someone else said I've also been building up my gog library even if I already 'own' it elsewhere - get the wishlist going and buy on special for example hollow knight half price this week - bam.

yes really enjoying it (sorry Robocop you're gonna have to wait to be finished..) have already sunk 10hrs into it.
performance is good, ultra native 1440p zoomed out getting around 190-210fps when zoomed right in about 130fps (7900xtx- 5950x). on my laptop (13700h - rtx4060) im getting enough to run it at native 2560x1600 about 60 zoomed in and 100fps zoomed out on High. I think there is a lot of headroom for less powerful machines. Note that you usually play zoomed out or in-between.

ahh yes the limited cores situation. had that issue with witcher 2 but running a vm in the background with the appropriate number of cores allocated does the trick.
