with win10 support ending for home users late next year combined with win11 high system requirements we could see a continued or slight jump. anyone want to predict Jan 2026? will 6% or higher be possible? It will be interesting and fun to watch.

So I'm assuming with reflex support - nVidia frame generation may work now for those are after some fake frames.

So it seems snappier in desktop - until its not but that could have been when I was fooling around with launching steam w/HDR).
Managed to get HDR going on Ori / ratchet and clank in steam. No luck with Jedi fallen order / survivor / star wars battlefront 2 in steam. No luck with Alan wake 2 (epic), cyberpunk 2077 (GoG) or BF2 (EA app - lutris).

AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 (FSR3) is now open source
18 Dec 2023 at 3:36 am UTC

you can download demo versions of Forspoken and Immortals of Aveum which were the first 2 to have FSR3.

Enabling FSR frame generation appears to work for Immortals of Aveum. For example it goes from about ~85fps and jumps up to ~122fps using native AA fsr settings w/FG (no upscaling). feel free to try it for yourself (free demo)!. I couldn't get it working for Forspoken (but have heard that it is possible - not so for avatar).

Moonlight and Sunshine game and desktop streaming updates out now

Quoting: Pikolo
Quoting: rustigsmedYes - I use Sunshine on a headless vm on my home server, can stream to moonlight my LG tv (with ps5 controller working), phone and of course other pcs. great for remote gaming or editing. Better than steam's remote play with the ability for 120hz and desktop use. Highly recommended.
How does your TV run Moonlight? Do you have a Steam Link dongle?
No dongle - had to put tv into developer mode and then pretty sure I went to install the WebOS Homebrew - which allows you to install a number of apps (not all working these days - but moonlight is there and works great - it's a community fork - mariotaku - github). PS5 controller i just setup through the tv. Moonlight can launch straight to steam big picture or the desktop.
