Quoting: dziadulewiczWow, a totally free as in freedom Minecraft engine and a game. Gotta get into this at long last.Try out the mini-game Jail Escape [External Link], also made for Minetest, while you're at it, too - good concise arcade-style randomly-generated fun, that one.
Quoting: dziadulewiczFound an interview (by Wikinews) of the main developer too via news about the release: https://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Open_source_game_developer_Perttu_Ahola_talks_about_Minetest_with_Wikinews [External Link]It's not about this particular release (indeed, it's several years old now), but I found this piece, Mining for Education [External Link], to be quite an interesting read, myself.
Black Dragon Mage is my kind of bullet heaven survivor-like insanity

Anyway, I haven't picked up anything other than Vampire Survivors yet, and this looks like it might well be my sort of thing, so I'll be keeping an eye on it.

and pulling in some elements from Path of Exile and even…Bomberman? Apparently so.Bomberman, you say? You've got my attention. Seriously, though, I feel that this genre in general draws a bit from Bomberman in terms of having to think on your feet and use whatever power-ups you get as best you can, at the very least.

ChimeraOS 43 out now adding ASUS ROG Ally support

It's also nice to see that they're adding support for more handheld PCs besides, too.

Quite an exciting release, since Linux projects like this can help extend the lifespan of devices like the ROG Ally well past when the original vendor moves on.It may just be past experience of how quickly Asus dropped the Linux-based Eee PCs talking here, but I get the feeling that the official support for the ROG Ally may not end up being long-lived. So, it is indeed nice to see this - it looks like the ChimeraOS folks have done a sterling job here! Hopefully they can iron out the remaining issues before too long.

Quoting: scaineAnd one hour of gaming. Oof. Isn't this suppose to be a hand held console?
Quoting: BelaptirOf course, we don't talk about the battery life, that would be embarrassing. The way that the Nintendo Game Boy triumphed over the Atari Lynx and the Sega Game Gear is playing out again here, it feels like - there's much to be said for lateral use of so-called "less powerful" established technology in the portable space, or else you end up with something "cutting-edge" that can only be portable until you reach the end of your power-cord.
Steam Beta improves Openbox support and fixes focus issues with AMD / Intel

Restrict a workaround that prevents a crash on Nvidia GPUs to only activate when we detect an Nvidia GPU. Side-effects for this workaround include window flashing and focus stealing when a steam window is closed, which should no longer affect Intel/AMD users.YES! Glad to hear it! This one's annoying, because it also applies to notifications. Can't wait for this fix to leave beta.

This isn't the sort of thing that I usually play at all (first-person games typically give me severe motion-sickness; Hell, I only played through the original Doom for the first time recently, spread across several months, once I found that playing on a handheld a little at a time is fine ), and I have to say, it looks pretty damn good! I'll be keeping an eye on this one, for sure. :woot:

Quoting: PhlebiacI just noticed the mascot in the top banner changes what is being held beneath the flipper; different controllers show up, including a Steam Deck playing what looks like a Star Wars game. Is that new, or have I just been blind? ;-DIt's been going on for a while. I still think that it's a great touch.

Quoting: scaineMan, it would be great to see Scorpion baring his chest, right? Maybe tone down those long, baggy trousers and get those rippling thighs into shot? Get some crotch physics on display?Speaking as a woman gamer, can we please tell Scorpion that nobody needs to see that, and can he please wear something more practical for fighting in? Thanks.

Quoting: BogomipsAfter the update I installed the new client from scratch (without any cache/config files) to try to solve the issues. And when I tried to set the default proton version in the settings all the non native games files needed to be reloaded, it took me a week to rebuild my library downloading more than 200 GB of data with my poor bandwidth…Oh yikes, that's really not cool!
