I am a NonSteamLaunchers user and so already have a little bias in favor of the project. I heard it got blocked from Bazzite and thought that was weird and arbitrary. I'm also a Decky user and I hear Decky has some weird drama going on with the paid version of Junk Store on Steam (honestly I don't know the relationship between those two projects so can't comment). And now Decky blocks NonSteamLaunchers? What is even going on in this community?

If I had to guess, this is preparation for Steam Deck 2? or perhaps a new SteamOS? Maybe preperation for making SteamOS an OS for anything? Something is happening either way, and with a bit of luck it'll provide that nice easy to use OS we can point all new users to and say "Use this, it works out the box for most things" as opposed to having to say "For nvidia try this distro, for amd try this one, oh and if you need this, try that distro over there, etc.

If a user requests a refund, who is gonna pay? R*? But they are not officially supporting Linux... Valve? But they're going to refund you out of its own pocket.

If R* is forced to pay you back, they may sue Valve for allowing people to run a software in unintended ways...
