$ ./GameImage-v0.3.1-x86_64.AppImage --platform=wine --name="Dead Space" --dir=./dead-space
it just shows "Terminated"

any ideas on how to run this ?? or how to build from the source

For publishers to actually stop forcing Launchers on us. Don't make me beg. Have you ever met someone who said "heck yeah, the EA App!" or "oh lovely, the 2K launcher" in any kind of serious way?
there are Launchers that do not break things and do add value but it depends on what you class as a Launcher

Command & Conquer 3, not the ea origin / EA App lets you select the mod you want to play and watch your replays, and when the game was originally released it lets you check for game updates and it was optional

aliens versus predator classic 2000
lets you select the cross-play or the steam version platinum rating on proton DB

the EA App is a digital distribution application getting used as a launcher and the 2K launcher is trash

GOG Galaxy and Epic Games Store on Linux
I do not think this is going to happen IMHO which is a good thing the GOG Galaxy IMHO interface needs a redesign Epic Games Store launcher needs a rewrite to use fewer system resources but there is the heroic launcher

Epic Games are killing off a bunch of classics like Unreal Tournament

Valve finally clears up Steam game release dates, also adjusts pricing
27 Oct 2022 at 2:15 pm UTC

it looks like a developer don't need to have a release date going by Kingpin: Reloaded that is still showing Coming soon
but is is Published by 3D Realms and Interplay so it is likely going to be the same as Duke Nukem forever was forever in development

EA begins swapping out Origin for EA app on Steam

hi
I have had a look at the new EA app and looked at the application install directory it is not using electron it is using the QtWebEngine

Tip if you have EA Origin installed in wine and it is working Back it up and do not update to the new application it is missing a lot of stuff the old client had and it looks like a application an intern made

Quoting: KuduzkehpanEA app feels like electron app with very ugly desing
Spoiler alert: I’m quite certain it actually is an electron App.

And it follows all the modern design trends of having big bloaty UI elements, an interface made to look like a twitterfeed or something and is generally cumbersome and confusing to use. At least EA is current and keeping up with the industry in that department…
I hope it is not an electron App but knowing Evil arts that sounds like what they will use

Edit
if it is an electron App will they start to support Linux Gaming ?? I do not thinks so

Correct, as far as I'm aware this [External Link] is still the only way to play the bedrock edition on Linux, with some caveats.
there is a way to play both the Java edition and bedrock edition on Linux there is a launcher that uses the android Minecraft bedrock edition .APK but you need to own the game on google play

edit
Prism Launcher uses a newer version of the QT platform that will only run on windows 10 and newer
