Valve finally clears up Steam game release dates, also adjusts pricing
27 Oct 2022 at 2:15 pm UTC

it looks like a developer don't need to have a release date going by Kingpin: Reloaded that is still showing Coming soon
but is is Published by 3D Realms and Interplay so it is likely going to be the same as Duke Nukem forever was forever in development

hi
I have had a look at the new EA app and looked at the application install directory it is not using electron it is using the QtWebEngine

Tip if you have EA Origin installed in wine and it is working Back it up and do not update to the new application it is missing a lot of stuff the old client had and it looks like a application an intern made

Quoting: Appelsin
Quoting: KuduzkehpanEA app feels like electron app with very ugly desing
Spoiler alert: I’m quite certain it actually is an electron App.

And it follows all the modern design trends of having big bloaty UI elements, an interface made to look like a twitterfeed or something and is generally cumbersome and confusing to use. At least EA is current and keeping up with the industry in that department…
I hope it is not an electron App but knowing Evil arts that sounds like what they will use

Edit
if it is an electron App will they start to support Linux Gaming ?? I do not thinks so

Correct, as far as I'm aware this [External Link] is still the only way to play the bedrock edition on Linux, with some caveats.
there is a way to play both the Java edition and bedrock edition on Linux there is a launcher that uses the android Minecraft bedrock edition .APK but you need to own the game on google play

edit
Prism Launcher uses a newer version of the QT platform that will only run on windows 10 and newer

hi
the translation of this is we want to protect the games that have microtransactions "surprise mechanics" = gambling mechanics and if we can get away with it your data too M$ has it so why can we not have it too:cry::cry:

the last new EA "Evil Always !!!" Game I bought was Command & Conquer Remastered Collection but that game was developed by former Westwood Studios developers and the game before that star wars fallen order

I do not trust EA "Evil Always !!!" developers to mess with my kernel their games are buggy this shit will may not get installed on my computer and if there is a game with this shit I want to play will wait for it to go on sale and I will use a user made patch

Quoting: KlaasSo is there no way to make the native version work again?

I recently started replaying the game, but now I'm away from my desktop computer, so I can't check. I've encountered some slowdowns with the native version and it always crashed on exit, so I switched to proton, but it would be sad if it was gone forever.

Concerning the game itself: I hate the checkpoint-based save system with only one slot. I know you can somehow go back via the chapter select system in new game plus, but that is not the same. After I've noticed that I've missed one infusion, I'm not sure whether I should continue that playthrough or start at the beginning.
yes there is a way to get the Linux native working you will need to download a copy of the old version of the Engine Binaries https://steamdb.info/depot/8873/manifests/ [External Link] and copy them in to the game folder

hi
there is a way to make this update less trash you will need to get a copy of the older version of the game files
copy the original version of the game folder into the the new game folder and you will need to use the the command to bypass the launcher but linking option added in-game will be missing i have tested this on BioShock Remastered 2

Quoting: constGosh, reddit is really at it's worst about it.
I replied to some very angry guy that it's just about another case, so there is no need to get emotional.
He replied so angry that his post was deleted by some mods without me asking for it, yet my post was downvoted like crazy. Don't really care for the downvotes, it's reddit. Just wanted to illustrate how mobbish the mob has become.
I want real community forums back, reddit is cancer.
no it is not just reddit imho it is all social media
