On another note, following that link, they show at $36 USD... :( There are used ones for <$14, but new ones are $36. Too bad, I was gonna jump on that..

Quoting: meggermanI returned mine. Could not get a good experience with it even on a perfect 100/100 LAN.As Liam said, " A good network setup is required though." 10/100 is not a good network setup anymore...
that is a dirt cheap price though.

Is anyone here actually using SteamOS? What are your thoughts on it?I installed it a couple years ago with Stephenson's Rocket.. I've done some modifications, but still running it on my TV box.. I like it overall, although it can seem a bit flaky on updates at times (I've had to fix things via command line rescue mode and/or ssh). Overall, though, it does a fine job as a basic game console in BPM. I wish they'd build more advanced game console features into it and media apps though.

Quoting: HoriCommodity hardware is frequently cheaper at a price point for comparable hardware (especially on sale). However, after finally finding the specs on the Link, it didn't look that impressive, so for the trouble, not worth it for me.Quoting: inlinuxdudeWhy go through all that trouble when you can get a Raspberry Pi for dirt cheap?Quoting: inlinuxdudeAnyone know if the Link has been hacked to run standard Linux or Android? I could use another cheap Kodi box...Well, I just had to go and Google it... It looks like Kodi is recently running natively with a few bugs/quirks. http://steamcommunity.com/app/353380/discussions/1/451850849186712370/?ctp=13 [External Link]

Quoting: scaineI don't get who/what these cards are aimed at? This behemoth will likely retail for well over a grand, given that the plain 1080s are still around the £500-600 mark and the TI edition is £800-900. I mean, there's top-end gaming, and then there's just flushing money out the window!IBM has worked with NVidia to incorporate their GPU's [External Link] into high performance computing servers. This could well fit into some supercomputer type applications (and could also explain the initial limit of 2 per customer?)..

This is awesome! Mr. Duck, any idea when Feral might get this on SteamOS? I bought this to play on the couch on my homemade steam machine. I put a couple hours into it and performance wasn't horrible, but I'd love to give it another go with this boost!

I saw this on Steam last night and was checking it out. It has great reviews, and I used to love that type of game (played Wolf:ET on Linux for thousands of hours).. My only reservation is my twitch reflexes aren't what they used to be when I was younger, so I'm kind of hesitant to drop $20 for a FPS game where I'll likely be outclassed and quit playing soon. So, maybe I'll wait for a sale to pick it up.
