QuoteThis time though, a bug from 2005 was solved

I wonder what Leonard Ritter thinks about it (the guy who opened this bug report)

My guess is, "About F'in time!..." (or something along that line)

Quoting: morphlesEven though as board games chess is kinda meh

What???? Have you ever played chess??? How in the world can you say it is meh? Honestly, I'd like to know, because I really can't conceive of anyone who's ever played more than a few games ever thinking that... I can think of some arguments against it (ie, too much memorization after a certain skill level), but many of them can be offset by different styles of play (i.e. online blitz)..

I assume the Death Metal doesn't play throughout the gameplay.. That would drive me a bit crazy after a while... Love the looks of the game though..

The Linux distribution I was most thankful for in 2020 - EndeavourOS

Quoting: Sojiro84Eventually I also needed a new home because of some of the stuff that happened at Manjaro.

I didn't wanted a normal distro and I liked arch so EndeavourOS it was!

I definitely needed to adjust my arch install script a lot. Manjaro come with a lot of stuff by default that I needed and liked and wasn't in the base Arch+Cinnamon package.

But, after many test runs in VirtualBox and adjusting my install script, my system is now always quickly up and running with all the packages I need, program settings are restored and the same goes for my Cinnamon settings and my system is basically almost the same as it was in Manjaro!

Ummm, you and the author (Liam) both mentioned things happening recently with Manjaro. I've been running Manjaro-KDE for several years on a couple of workstations, and I'm not aware of anything going on... What's been happening?

Quoting: pbI'm gaming on SteamOS 2, but eagerly waiting for SteamOS 3.

I liked SteamOS too for the PC I have connected to the TV, but it has got no updates including security updates since summer 2019, so I gave up on it. I doubt SteamOS 3.0 will ever be releases, and if then how can we trusty Valve to not also drop support on that without any announcement?

I recommend GamerOS for this use-case. It is more stable for me than SteamOS ever was, plus it has some nifty extra features..

I replaced my SteamOS with GamerOS about a year and a half ago... I haven't gotten around to making use of a lot of its extra features, but its been more of a seamless experience that SteamOS ever was...

The reviews on steam thus far are not good... Sounds really buggy (and those are probably Windows players - we probably have extra)... I think I'll wait to see if things improve.

My advantage in this situation is that I am a hippie and a cheapskate, and PROUD of it, so I don't feel insulted at all.. :D
