Quoting: Doğa Can YanıkoğluWe're constantly getting builds for Linux in our CI/CD tools, and deploying into Steam along with Windows builds, so both of them are being tested at the same time. So, we're aiming for a full Steam Deck compatibility upon the release. This is a rare one!

I perfectly understand that Valve Corp. is not my friend. This being clarified:
To me Point 1 and 2 seem to serve as smoke and mirror for point 3 - which may be the actual motivation behind this lawsuit.
I say this because both seem to be very hard to prove if not outright false in my eyes.
And point 3 seems to be much more important to the publishers than to the consumers.
You don’t need a lot of imagination to see this lawsuit as a tool of one market player trying to hurt another while using the consumer as a sort of shield for their shenanigans.
On a personal level I find the whole ordeal ridiculous…

Quoting: Liam DaweWorth pointing out at this point too, just like with Helldivers 2, the game has been restricted on Steam with various places unable to buy it due to the PSN requirement for the online mode.I understand it: places like Greenland, Japan, the baltics like Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, city-states like Gibraltar, San Marino, and especially Monaco are rather underdeveloped third-world countries.

I tend to agree with your take on DirectX in general though. Vulkan is just better than Microsoft’s GL - at least just by merit of being free and open-source.

Quoting: enigmaxg2Sadly, on Linux you can't play with the minimum requirements (since GTX9 series and 10 series are AWFUL with VKD3D), should be nice if they did a Vulkan version, but they are sticking to DirectCrap12.There are still the AMD cards as the above indicated exemplary 5500 XT. As far as I know there are no issues with VKD3D on Radeon cards.

Quoting: Purple Library GuyNo, they do include a mail address to contact should one encounter issues though. :smile:Quoting: benstor214And now I noticed the SteamOS icon, too. I should stop looking at system requirements to determine if there’s a version for Linux…It's a 2012 game . . . do the system requirements say "potato"?

Quoting: Liam DaweLook for the SteamOS icon, it's there. They just don't have system requirements for Linux.Ah, I see it’s playable. Sometimes the Steam Deck icon is easy to miss in the mobile app
Thanks
Quoting: pbThere is a Linux depot and it was updated today as well. And now I noticed the SteamOS icon, too. I should stop looking at system requirements to determine if there’s a version for Linux…
