ROCCAT Ryos MK Pro Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, Reviewed

Welcome to the mech keyboard club Liam!

If you like the feel of mech switches you could get a switch tester to see which one you prefer, there are _many_ options.

I have landed on Cherry MX Clears and Topre for typing, while Cherry MX Red/Blue/Brown will all do for gaming.

If you have a more than average interes in mech keyboards, you might want to check out the Ergodox, you'll have to build it yourself though :D

Quoting: DrMcCoyEh, me, I still prefer my IBM Model M built [External Link] in 1987. :)
...
No stupid Windows keys.
The model M's seem very nice, but I haven't typed on one for so long that I totally forgot what they were like.

They're not the perfect match for most gamers though, with their 2KRO and heavy switches.
The unicomp models unfortunately do not fix the 2KRO and from what I heard they have other issues. As for the windows keys, on my keyboard those keys are either blank or have a "super" label. It can be useful to have a modifier that isn't used for anything else in your WM.

This being said I'd very much like to get a model M for my mech collection :)

Getting to choose the team I think will greatly increase replay value.

Survival RPG 'NEO Scavenger' Officially Launched
16 Dec 2014 at 2:34 pm UTC

It is quite fun, but casual/mainstream gamers beware: This game is probably not for you.

The controls are quirky, the graphics are 1980s quality and there is no character building.

Still it was the game I played the most a few months back. If you like survival, looting and don't mind old school rpg interfaces, then this is pretty nice.

Yeah and you have to tolerate flash, which is horrid.

Quoting: GuestI won't pay for Tropico because it seems like anticommunist propaganda to me. But at least it isn't worst than Call of Duty.
Wow, that made me want to play it more :D

What part of it is anti communist propaganda though?
Just that it looks like Cuba, or that it is as corrupt as the communist states were?

Sid Meier Classics Released on Steam

DOSBox is perfectly fine for old titles.
I wouldn't mind scummvm or even wine as long as the games are old.

Having them in a convenient updater/launcher/library like steam is making the gaming experience on linux better than having to emulate yourself.
