If you read there last update page on the forum, the gog galaxy patch note, they state that gog galaxy for linux is coming,
they are working on it, BUT there is no ETA atm.
To save you the hassel, to look it up.

And ye, the witcher3 thing was a horrible thing, and we still dont know wtf they where doing.
But as always, never pre-order, and Iv learned my lesson there.
So, to go back to my point. Its bit dumb to whine about something and not trying to change it if you got to the power to do so. Like Tim Sweeney have. Linux could opens up more roads to move away from something like microsoft.
And thats the ironi in his statement about windows / microsoft. I dont like microsofts way, Im gonna hate on them. But Im not going to support alternativ platforms like Linux.
Iv never seen or heard gog/cdpr reason, act or say something like that.
Having said that, I dont blame them for aiming for windows first, its a the bigest platform and linux are small compaired to windows. And its not like there linux titles are broken, cant be played or are badly supported. The only part Im missing without a galaxy client is cloud saving, but meny games dont even have that when your using gog galaxy.
think only 4 - 5 of my 25 games on gog have cloud save.
Sry for rambling on and on xD. Yes Im a gog fan boy xD

Quoting: nijiwarI see your point, but its not really the same thing at all. Gog/cdpr never said there was something wrong with windows or microsoft. Atleast I havent heard anything about that, they never said they wanned to push to other platforms, thats valves thing.Quoting: ZeloxAnd the ironi in it aswell when unreal devs blame Windows for being a closed plattform, but dont want to work to push the Linux version. I can understand they mainly want to focus on Windows. Not very different from GoG - DRM Free ,no Linux Galaxy client ,no Witcher 3 Linux version... :) , both are property of CDPprojekt.Money is money , and many of them is in Consoles and Windows.
Event with bad UnrealEngine , Epic have version of new UnrealTournament.

Quoting: Luke_NukemAs far as I know, Linux support in Unreal Engine is completely volunteer maintained. Fairly certain no Epic employees are paid to work on it.And the ironi in it aswell when unreal devs blame Windows for being a closed plattform, but dont want to work to push the Linux version. I can understand they mainly want to focus on Windows.
Quoting: ShmerlWith all the ranting Tim Sweeney likes to throw around about MS abusing the gaming market, he could do much more to make Linux support in Unreal Engine have sufficient resources.Yep the ironi xD

It seems like Unreal are slacking in supporting the linux version of Unreal engien.
Epic have stated they think linux was gonna be a challange to port, but not this big of a challange.
We also got Ark survival evolve that runs horrible on Linux, missing texters, and got memory leak.
That memory leak thingy also seems to effect windows users btw, but the game doesnt run good at all under linux
compaired to windows. Yes it could be that the devs are slacking, but I also think unreal is to blame there aswell.

Quoting: MaCroX95I believe it is hard for devs to compile a linux version of a game that was designed for windows in mind purely... That's where the devs screw up during the development. If thats the case, why does the Mac version work?

Soo here is my speculation down the rabbit hole.
The red buss shows us, we are looking for something in England. England - Frontier development,
you with me this far ? So my guess is.... Elite Dangerous!
And that statment is based on basicly nothing more then pure wish.
Well they are based in England, Cambridge to be exakt. So Im saying Elite Dangerous.
Feral! PORT ELITE! LIKE NOW! <3
And if you wont port Elite! I want tomb raider! :P

Like you say, the game isnt running that great atm.
And I was hoping for a better frame rate at release. This game ran horrible on my PC, 11-20fps isnt cool, stutter and lag. Ended up refunding it because of that. As the game progresses in development i will probably give it another go.
Its really got some nomad skys wibes to it aswell ^^

GOG staff state that Galaxy for Linux is being worked on, but still no ETA

Stop buying games because gog doesnt have a Linux client, will probably only make them consider that Linux isnt worth supporting cause if the low sells.
Lacking of Linux titlen could be that gog dont want to support Linux, I doubt that cause of other titels and the upcoming gog galaxy. Its probably because of some horrible ports like the Metro games, or saints rows or dying lights.
Happy customers will comeback.
Another reason could also be the devs or publisher dont want to release the Linux version, the resoning behinde that is something I cant answer.
There could also be other reason but I doubt gog doesnt want to support Linux is the reason. We should be happy there is a store that want to push DRM free games and movies. And are trying to be an alternativ to steam, competition is healthy for steam, gog and stores like them.

Quoting: throghAnd GOG shows clearly that it won't stay optional as there are so-called wishes [External Link] ignored from the community. A client for DRM-free downloads? People should better learn having their installations managed and it is easy under Linux, because there is no registry or component written if the user is following the normal concept of the HOME-folder. Simple unpack the downloaded data and overwrite the own, local folder. There is nothing more to do! I don't trust any client and I don't want a client having my local system managed. So GOG can keep this for their own! :)Gog galaxy is an optional client, the only reason or atleast the most common reason to by game from gog is just because they are DRM-free. If gog changed that or made the client a must have to buy there games, Well there is already steam with toons of more games. There thing on the gaming store Market is being DRM free.
Believing some nice lies from marketing? Better not. :D
By the way: They clearly have not much interest within Linux as they are treating customers and users of this system as second-class. The games Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light are not available until today for Linux (source [External Link] for example. The thing is: They don't communicate with the users, even when writing a question to the support. It's always the same! And the client for MAC-OS was fast delivered after WINDOWS. But LINUX? Nothing seen for years now. And I should trust this platform? Good joke. They'll get money when having a DRM-free download / release for Linux, perhaps a classic or interesting game? But when this is not possible any longer, goodbye GOG.

Some thoughts on Albion Online with the final Beta

I hope the game becomes more alive when its released, Im not a founder but I will probably get this one when its released.

Quoting: Kuduzkehpani m founder for this game. and however streamers and playerbase is decreesed the game promising.Doesnt this have to do with how long the game has been in beta and the constant server wipes the game has after every update?

When I first read about this on gol I was like, Ooh another mmo with pay to win features that will die 6 month after its release. Iv changed my mind after some research on my own.
Cant wait to grabb those mmo needles again, fill them with that neew albion juice, aim it to the arm, and hit it right in the vain. So please dont be another mmo that dies after 6 month :(.
