The newest "Release Date" (estimate) on the System Shock Remake Steam Store page is May 30, 2023.

I'm curious if this has something to do with that.

They REALLY should work with the BioShock developers on SS2 Remake at some point since they made the other SS and SS2 and essentially Bioshock 1, 2 and Infinite are so similar.

Assuming there are no more release setbacks I hope Atari blasts their marketing on SS:2023 -- the demo was above my expectations or hopes.

GOG is cool because if the internet is every disrupted you still have some games you can install or play.

It may seem like it can't happen but the Internet is pretty fragile and in the event of a natural disaster is usually toast.

Half of the links in the article seem broken for me.

I buy sometimes on GOG, but they really do need to get good content to sell me -- their content offering has improved the last year or two but still I want to be sold games with high interest whenever possible.

For me the next thing that would really captivate me is HL1/2 in VR and I know somebody was doing a HL2 VR on some level.

Seems like with Source 2 on the way and the CS2 trademark and rumors of being based on Source 2 that it would be in everyone's best interest if they target Source 2 at some point.

Playing this game is what I imagined playing Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was on Sega Genesis as a kid.

I have a hard time keeping interest in things, but I was really surprised after like 4 hours how addictive and fun this game is.

Now that I have 4 Steam Decks gifted to family I am really curious what the LAN Gaming would be like playing this game in multiplayer.

Quoting: CyrilI just hope there will be a AUR package...
There already is, named "soh". I've only used the appimage myself, so I don't know where it wants you to put the rom, or where it stores the otr generated from it (you need delete it so it'll generate a fresh one after major updates).
I think I learned that and forgot already. One thing about AUR packages sometimes is they advertise poorly in the description what they are.

For example, soh wont show up if you search "ship" or "harkinian"

"librewolf" doesn't show up when you search the AUR for "browser" and yet it's neck at neck with Google Chrome when comparing the popularity metric 12.79 vs 13.27.

We're a silly people sometimes.
