I personally like the site the way it is, but I am often resistant to change. The only thing I would like is to basically invert black/white, but I think a dark theme is available to supporters, so when the next round of Patreon goes through, ill have access to that.
So long as whatever it gets changed to is as tasteful and intuitive as it is now I will learn to like it too.

I only have one other thing to question. I've enabled the console, and entered "stat fps" into the console in order to show FPS in game. It says I am only running at 20fps MAX with vsync enabled. I KNOW the game is running faster than that, I would ABSOLUTELY recognize 20fps vs the 60fps I think I am running at. I'm not a programmer but is it possible that it's not calculating the actual FPS properly due to 3x 1080p monitors? With vsync enabled it pretty much stays locked to 20. If I disable vsync it will jump to 25-30. I am thinking 20(fps)x3(monitors)=60(fps).

Quoting: GuestBought the GOTY, hopefully it’ll work and be fun. From what I gather it seems to be some sort of solo MMORPG FPS…you can play solo, but it's designed with 4 player co-op in mind. MMORPG? not so much I don't think. It's a blast though! I have 133 hours on record, and that's low for many haha.

Ok, this warrants another post. Other than the minor things I needed to work through in order to play it (see post above), it's running FANTASTIC! Performance is SO much better than I anticipated from "day 1"! Other than the lack of advanced PhysX I can't tell any difference between your port and playing it in windows! GREAT JOB ASPYR!!!!!!
for reference my steam launch option are below.
__GL_THREADED_OPTIMIZATIONS=1 vsync_mode=0 %command% -resx=5760 -resy=1080

Has anyone else ran into the game not grabbing the KB and mouse? When I launch it I can click the mouse to get past the intro movies, but when I get to the menu I can't click on anything and the KB is unresponsive to the game. Alt+tab doesn't let me switch apps, I have to switch tty's or ssh in with my phone and kill the game... hmm.
EDIT* I can shift+tab to access the steam overlay and it seems to work.. just no input getting to BL2
EDIT again* If I bring up the steam overlay I can then alt+tab out of the game and back in and it then grabs mouse and KB inputs. I am running it at 5760x1080, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I've also now noticed that I have about a 2 inch black bar on the right side (right monitor) where it's not rendering. It goes the distance on the left monitor. Blair, is there a good place to stick bug reports so I don't clog up GOL with it? I did send you guys an email offering to test on my "not so normal" rig when I found out the game was coming to linux, I just never heard back ;)
EDIT AGAIN!* getting there, couldn't activate vsync in BL2 options so I added "vsync_mode=0 %command% -resx=5760 -resy=1080" to launch options and the black bar is now gone from the right monitor (yay!), I can now enable vsync in the game and it works. Performance is much better now as well. I still have to do the steam overlay alt+tab trick to get mouse n KB input though.. but I can deal with that for now, hopefully that gets fixed.

Crazy awesome news! DLing BL2 right now. I just wish us nvidia users had physx in linux. AMD users say what you want about it, but Borderlands uses it and it's frackin amazing with it. I will be sure to play it on linux for the first 10-15 hours, but I have a feeling that Ill end up switching to windows (Flame suit engaged) after that unfortunately. Would be fan-f*ckin-tastic if we got linux physx by the time The PreSequal drops.

I completely agree with this article and it's one of the things that has always bothered me. Like others have said it's the same in windows as well. There is just no standard for them to follow so they do as they please. Even if a standard was created for it, there is no guarantee games prior to the standard would be updated to it which sucks, but it would be something great to have going forward. I would prefer something like ~/.games/ or ~/.local/share/games/ if I were to get a vote on it. I saw someone say do away with local storage and only use steam cloud. I say HELL NO to that. I can think of too many reasons not to want that. Make it an option if they want, but I wouldn't use it. I tend to .tar/.zip up game save folders even as I am playing in order to have a backup in case something goes wrong, like a corrupt save or I make a horrible mistake in the game and need to go back. Especially in long RPG type games where it's easy to make a mistake and need to go back. I tend to (re)backup those after every session.

It does seem to have some potential. Is there a planed campaign? or is this meant to be MP only?

I think a 970 is a fantastic Idea for you Liam. I saw you were looking at a used 680 I think it was. That would still have been an improvement, but from what I know of the new Maxwell chips from nvidia they are beast. I am reading multiple reports on my twitter feed this morning of pushing a 980 to 1500MHz (reference is 1126MHz) without upping core voltage! That's just crazytown! It seems Nvidia may have given us an all out dragon in sheep's clothing ;) Can't wait to see the benches from super OC'd maxwell chips to see how it affects them and how they get better as the drivers mature. There are a couple of GTX980's in my future when the 8gb variants show up for sure.
Here's a link to a 560ti vs 970 comparison from GPUBoss, one of the best sites for side by side comparisons IMO. (Hint: theres a CPUBoss too.)

As for what I'll be playing today, MOAR Wasteland 2! Once I "figured out" my fighting techniques, I've been hooked. Don't know how many hours I've put into it because I got it from GOG, but it's been too many already. My squad are now deadly bullet sponges leaving no baddie standing as we march across the wastes ;)
