Agree. RWR is such a fun game! It reminds me of Battlefield Bad Company 2 without the destructible environment though. If Modulaatio Games is ever going to make a second RWR game I hope it will have a destructible world. That would make the game even more fun!
Sadly, multiplayer seems to be Steam only now. But I guess since the majority of gamers use Steam anyway it's easier this way for the devs.

As of late I have also been thinking that it would be great to have a Civilization or Anno-like game where the player could take an alternative approach to things instead of simply recreating the world that we‘re living in today. I know that this is too complex to create and program. But still-

Quoting: wvstolzingGood points.Quoting: KimyrielleI am however, genuinely curious what can still done to Civ to improve it.It's hardly an immaculate concept -- from the ground up, there's so much to improve, to make it worthy of the name 'civilization', as it were. Sure, the core design has to 'gameify' a huge range of social-political dynamics; nevertheless it takes a bit too much for granted.
To begin with, you assume a godlike dictatorship of a nation-state back in 4000BC. Money pretty much has its 20th century significance from the start.
There's quite a bit of the designers' own political leanings informing the design -- in one of the past Civs, the stock exchange increased overall happiness in a city, for instance. And unless you're building an expansionist empire, you can't really aspire to any of the victory types.

Wow, Stasis coming to Linux, that would be awesome!
I really like the setting and the only thing that kept me from picking this game up was that it is Windows only (yeah, I know it should work fine through Wine. But I was always hoping that the game will eventually come to Linux one day :)).

Thinking about a Commandos-like game, what I'd really love to see would be a new and modern Desperados for Linux. :)

Quoting: BOYSSSSSI'm more excited about Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun [External Link], Commandos like stealth game coming Q4 2016 :)Funny, the first thought I had after watching the Blitzkrieg 3 trailer was that I'd rather have a new Commandos game than another traditional clash of forces RTS.

The trailer is really cool! =)
The game sounds interesting enough. But yeah, I'll wait for some actual gameplay and more information about it.

Darkest Dungeon officially released for Linux & SteamOS
27 Apr 2016 at 9:30 pm UTC
"Works on:
Windows (XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10), Mac OS X (10.9.0+) and Linux (Ubuntu 14.04)"
Source: https://www.gog.com/game/darkest_dungeon [External Link]
I'll wait for the next sale though. Reading through all the reviews mentioning that the player is dying a lot, I reckon I wouldn't spend much time playing it. Still I'm interested in the game for its art work and atmosphere.

Nice. Currently, I'm not that interested anymore in the game but I may pick it up at a later time. I still think it's a very beautiful game.

Even though I’m personally not really interested in the game I think it’s a fantastic addition to the Linux games catalogue and it gives reason to hope that one day we’ll also see Deus Ex Human Revolution coming to Linux.
Quoting: Comandante oardo^ This.Quoting: jf33Is there any chance they release it on GOG.com? Because I would really like to buy it, but I don't spend money on non-DRM-free games.Coming from that company, I don't think so... But, if someday this game is released on GOG, it will be without a Linux version.
