The trailer looks fantastic! Unfortunately, I won't be able to play the game. My nerves would probably be wrecked already after making changes to the graphics setting in the menu. Too scary.

I agree with Avehicle7887 here, soldered RAM is a big no-go.
Unfortunately, that's the way the market is going now.

Story-driven, tactical stealth game Desperados III is now available on Linux PC

Well, THQ Nordic confirmed on Discord today that there will be no Linux release on GOG.com:

When will the Linux & Mac versions be released on GOG.com?

@crash Hey Crash, there is currently no plans of releasing it to GOG as the amount of users that uses those two systems on GOG is well very low we rather have those systems gathered in one place where it is easier to provide support and help if needed than spread out across multiple platforms where it then would be very hard to provide support and keep everyone on the same page.
I'm not the user who asked the question but take the liberty to quote the correspondence here.

Quoting: The_Aquabatdon't try to play the game all the "stealth" way on desperados 1 because it's too difficult that way.
Uhm, well, that's exactly the way I played the game back in the day- and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I have to admit, though, playing the demo map without killing anyone in the new Linux version of Desperados 1 is pretty hard. But then again, I think that of most old games that I play again these days. Seems like I lost my grip.

By the way, still no Linux version of Desperados III at GOG.com. That's really disappointing.

Same here.

Quoting: EikeI loved the original Desperados. Now I tried to play Shadow Tactics, but somehow...
I cannot stand the genre anymore. :-(
Nothing wrong with that. Preferences change over time. Personally, I neither have the enthusiasm, nor the patience anymore to play through and finish games these days. In fact, I get bored by most of them rather quickly nowadays.

I still like the RTS genre in general though and also think that Shadow Tactics is a beautiful game. I just don't like the setting much. But what really kept me from finishing the game were the badges/trophies. I know, it's silly but these badges always made me feel like I didn't finish the missions properly.

One of the most beautiful games I've played. The soundtrack alone is wonderful.
As Cyril said, I hope they'll release the game on GOG.com too. It'll be a day one purchase then.

Quoting: scaineThe exact moment that this game saves when I shut it down (ala Tales of Maj'Eyal), I'll buy it and invest many hours into it. It has huge promise, but if I have hours to invest in gaming on any given day, it's going into "better" games (by which I mean the games I find truly compelling/engrossing - FPS, VR, Co-Op). So when I play games like Stoneshard (and ToME), I need to be able to dip in and out.
Wait, does this mean you can't save at any given time in the game? That would be a huge no-go for me.

I really like the art style of the game. But from what I've seen on YouTube so far, I find the movement quite awkward.

What have you been playing recently and what's your pick this weekend?

I was recently positively surprised by MewnBase [External Link], a fun little game that I really enjoy. Very relaxing, too.

Apart from that Battlefield 1 and I've also resumed playing Dishonored 2 again.

Thanks for mentioning it.
Now I have another game from the bundle that I'd really like to give a spin.
The trailer looks amazing!

Currently I'm enjoying MewnBase from said bundle by the way.
