Ah, thank you for that comparison, Philadelphus. I never really got a really deep playthough in Dwarf Fortress, but Rimworld is one of my two all time favourites. I need to take more time for the dwarves.

Civilizations 2 was the best version of the series for me. Civ IV was nice too, but afterwards i realle could not get rid of the feeling they tried to sell me the same old fish again.
I know i am quite biased, because when Civ 2 came out, my health and time budget was far more forgiving.

I really like this feature. I read the timeline and think back on the things i played then.
Valheim and Terraria dominated my playtime, but i got to play a few smaller games. I´m working hard on "no game hopping" stance for a few months. This resulted in doing my first playthrough in Terraria, which (i can see now) took almost three months and really enjoyable.
Now i restrict myself to valheim (until we beat the current last boss), Elite and some smaller games.
Thank you, Valve, for another year of uncomplicated, stress free gaming on a platform i actually enjoy.

Ooooh, a warm wave of nostalgia hitting hard. We somehow got hands on the beta, and we met with our clunky towers, coaxial 10BaseT-Cables, cold pizza and granular tea. There was always one computer where the network would not work, but it was so much fun playing this. I just found a video of the old theme song on youtube. Do i try it again just to find out how bad my aim is now?

Just because this thread is not nearly long enough... :D
I used Manjaro KDE for about two years. It was mostly good, but dependencies trouble and such made me move again. I like KDE, but some things never really worked on that Lenovo Legion of mine. So, now back again to Linux Mint. I can absolutely confirm that gaming, even FPS do work fine for me. Wayland seems to be trouble with my AMD/nVidia-Combo on every platform. At the end, its not important on which OS i get my back kicked in Valheim again.

As i just learned this from user TherinS, there ist the fantastic input-remapper [External Link] out there, and this can be really gamechanging. You can do timed macros and keypress conditions with that, and you can switch between special sets of them. This could be handy for those who are struggling with the lack of buttons.

Quoting: TherinSIn case you are looking for a way to rebind keys on your Razer (or any) devices, I would like to again suggest "input-remapper".[...]Awesome, thank you! I've been looking for something like that for a long time!

checkbox toggle switch for it!
Was i missed was the option not to record default output. Example: whem i play with friends and have mumble (a voice chat client) in the background, they get recorded too.

Quoting: TharvasI hope we soon can choose audio inputs natively as with built in forced microphone recording it is rather annoying. it is fine for now as I mainly use it to record bugs or cheaters to send proof where sound is not needed but I don't think Valve intended this to be it's primary function.Hmm, you could choose to record your microphone in one of the last betas. There was a

I was quite some time on Manjaro and had a good time with it, but the problems with their own repositories drove me to EndeavourOs (feels really good( for toying around and Mint as daily drivers (perfect for kids family). If i had not made the switch already, this would have triggered it. If it would have been opt-in, i absolutely would have enabled it.
