I tried playing it and had no idea what I was doing. Can anyone recommend me a lets play/youtube to help me figure it out?

AMD 'Ryzen' is the official name of the Zen processors, more details released today

Cherry picked benchmarks Bulldozer beat Intel. When the reality was Bulldozer was worse than the 6 core Thuban in a good portion of benchmarks. I still remain sceptical, but hopeful about AMD being competitive with Intel.

AMD will be showing off their Zen CPU Architecture and letting people play with it on December 13th

I really hope this isn't like the Bulldozer release: Bulldozer was slower than Stars in a lot of cases.

Aspyr Media are reminding Linux gamers not to give up hope on Civilization VI

From what I have seen, the game isn't even worth it if you plan on single player because the AI is worse than Civ V.

What have you been playing recently, and what do you think?

7 Days to Die, Alpha 15 makes it much harder and progression slower and I like it better.

Epic Games founder thinks Microsoft will essentially break Steam in later versions of Windows 10

Quoting: CAPTNCAPSTbh, a huge part of making UE4 run on Linux (at least for the Editor) is done by the community, not Epic themselves. They are too busy focusing on Mobile and VR. It's really disappointing. We can not even use Marketplace content on Linux, because the launcher is not available! And why is it not? Because the launcher is proprietary and the community thus cannot port it and Epic is just too lazy to do it.
Imo, they don't give a s**t about cross platform and if they do they've done surprisingly little to show it.
That's troubling since they have a Linux logo on the overview page.

If the company that makes Unreal Engine, doesn't support Linux in the games they are releasing, then they must not be very confident in the cross platform capabilities of their engine. That would look very bad to me if I was looking for a cross platform game engine.

Rust has now sold over 30 thousand copies on Linux

I'm surprised it sold so well. The last 4 times I tried to play it, it was unplayable and buggy. 7 Days to Die is currently scratching my survival horror itch. It runs well for me at least.

Vanguard Princess, a 2D fighting game that features an all-female cast is coming to Linux

I don't care how it's ported as long as it runs well. However, I remember reading something that says Codeweavers offers lots of options for porting: from using WINE to native.

The latest Steam Hardware Survey shows a rather insignificant drop for Linux

Here I am looking at the OS X numbers at 3.6%. Stuck at OpenGL 4.1 and most are using a Macbook Pro with a crappy old integrated graphics or old mobile.

For a bunch of games, these people don't even count.

For new games, I wonder if more people with Linux can play them than with OS X.

Looking at the numbers, I rather support Linux than OS X. I wouldn't want to support an ancient OpenGL version on under performing hardware.

Know what would be useful to developers? If I put in the minimum requirements for the game I am making and then see the percentages. I bet Linux would look more significant in that context.
