Ruzar - The Life Stone, a first person dungeon crawler released for SteamOS & Linux

QuoteI might have to check this one out, as you only control one character rather than a party like many others in the genre, so it sounds like it was designed for someone like me!
Ah, same here - I don't really like those party-style games too much...
Any word if this is going to show up at GOG, too?

Hollow Knight looks like exactly the type of action platformer I would play on Linux

Quoting: JOndra91Steam itself is sort of DRM, because you need Steam to install the game. You can't just download the installer.

That's true. You have to use the client and login at least one time to download the game files. On GOG you can login in to their website to download the game files directly. From that point on, there is no difference between GOG and Steam regarding DRM free games.

Depends what you can do and what you are (legally) allowed to do. Last time I checked the permit to play (any) game on Steam is a valid acount, so in principle you are not allowed to play it without verifying (by logging in / starting from the Steam client) that you do.
At least for me this is the main reason why I boycot it....

Humble Bundle Let Staff Go Due To Being Too Ambitious

Hum, what to say. I bought all HIBs so far, and really praise what they did for Linux gaming. I also bought quite some games from the store (once it was up), plus some extra bundles if they supported all Linux DRM free.
I never really cared about the charity thing. Not that it prevents me from buying - but sometimes I set their shar to zero, to increase the amount that goes to the developers, which I regard more important.

Nowadays, the usefulness of humble is (for me) quite reduced. Almost all bundles except the HIBs lack Linux support and/or DRM-free download, and also the store (for me too) often only offers steam keys. In that respect I have to add that I had contacted the support (which BTW is indeed quite responsive and helpful), and they said that it's the choice of the publisher which types they may sell. So maybe not their fault, but the outcome is the same: I don't buy....

I still look at their offers regularly, and really hope they manage to stay around, as there has to be some counterweight to Valve. Fortunately GOG seems doing well. But the more, the better...

Good that reviews are in now, as that is what I base my wishlist on.
The actual buy however depends on the availability outside steam, which was not selectable ;)

Hmmm.. didn't notice that one! Thanks for the heads up.

Could it be one case of steam only during early access and later be released drm-free after launch?

EDIT: Confirmed! .

Ooops - by bad. I was hoping for something like this, but must have overlooked it.

So everything will be fine :D

Mixed feelings about this one. Normally I pay the 'default' $25, but not this time - I have no need for this weird figure, but they deduce some $12 for it, so the developers get much less for their work :(

And another bad thing: This is a HIB. Still, the extra game is steam only :><:

Ouch, that might get an expensive month. Not because the games-bought count is already at 12. But Minimum requirements say Graphics: OpenGL 4.1, which means I'll need a new computer :O
Try....to.......resiiiiisst.......

As for the 'games bought' issue: I guess there's some saturation from (lots of?) older games. You grab them in some sale for little money, but after a while you have all that you're interested in, and after that there's only the new ones, which are mostly on the not-so-cheap side, so you (at least I...) buy at most one of those per month...

So yes, some aditional info on the total money spent would be interesting. Counting (only) in dollar should be OK, maybe you can add a popup-link to a currency converter to the next questionaire?

Quoteit would be a very, very bad decision to rush the game's launch without some quality control.

Thank you THANK YOU for this attitude!

I don't mind waiting for nice games, but hate bugs
(and as it releases on GOG I'm sure it will find the way to my library sooner or later :D)
