Quoting: GuestThe game looks great (and original) but I’m not sure if I could stand this much white for very long. There is no option to change the white into black I suppose?Sorry about the late reply. No, there's unfortunately no such option. That said, I didn't find that the white bothered me at all while playing through the game.

Quoting: BeamboomWow, this looked like a fantastic piece of work. I want to play this along with my little daughter (3.5 yrs old) and just explore and enjoy the fragile atmosphere. That's a good idea, and something I hadn't considered myself. I'll try to play it with my son (almost 5) and see what he thinks. He's of the thoughtful type, so I think he might enjoy it. My daughter (2.5) is a whirlwind though, so I don't think she'll have the patience for it. And my pleasure. :)
Thanks for this tip, Flesk. It'll be purchased.
Quoting: BeamboomEDIT: A rather peculiar note on the system requirements on Steam: "Compatible controllers for Linux / Steam OS are the Sony Dualshock 4 controller. Other controllers may well work but have not been thoroughly tested."Yeah, that is rather odd. Especially considering they've had Team17 to do QA on it. They have several interesting games under their label now, including the massive Kickstarter hit Yooka-Laylee. Penarium and Deadwood: The Forgotten Curse only have Windows icons on their site, but are both supposed to be coming out for Linux and look great.
They've not even tested a single "native" PC-controller (like the Logitech etc) or Xbox controller (whose API has practically become the standard on PC)? I find it quite peculiar.

They're almost at €100k after less than a week, so it doesn't seem too far fetched. The game looks amazing even though it's not really my kind of game.
Another one that's popped up since we posted this article is a nice looking retro twin-stick shooter called Tower 57:

There were also two other adventure games that we had nominated, but didn't find the time to write up properly:
The Last Time [External Link] - A choice-based point-and-click adventure with pixel graphics, inspired by Quantic Dream and Telltale Games' (recent) games. The campaign is already funded, but there are still a few days left if you want any of the rewards and campaign updates.
Gayway [External Link] - A retro inspired point-and-click adventure with multiple playable characters, and a verb interface, including "flirt". This one has a rather ambitious goal and is still far from getting funded.
EDIT: Fixed link.

Casual Clickers 'AdVenture Capitalist' And 'Time Clickers' Now On Steam For Linux

@chriskringel84: Hadn't heard of that issue, but thanks for posting a workaround. :) Do you know if the bug has been reported?
Quoting: fishxzi closed AdVenture Capitalist by accident and now after a game restart the whole game is paused and i dont earn any money oO is this a bug or a feature? Is the game paused mid-countdown or are all counters at zero? You should be making money while you're away, but if some of the outlets lack managers, you have to manually restart those outlets to earn money. If the counters have been started and haven't moved at all while you were away, that sounds like a bug.
Don't Be Patchman Is The First Game On Steam To Be Linux Only

Quoting: EikeMight have something to do with the requirement to publish games for Windows. From the Steam Greenlight FAQ [External Link]:Quoting: JayViiThe Steam-Page [External Link] shows Windows Systemrequirements ._.... and it states it's a bug: "There seems to be a glitch with the store page, it says Minimum Windows System Requirements when it should not."
I thought Valve wouldn't even alow that.
What systems must my game run on?We covered this game in The Funding Crowd #42, and if I remember correctly, I first heard about the campaign from someone in the GOL IRC channel who were helping the developers promote the game, so I'm not surprised to see them focus on the Linux version. It still is pretty neat that they're launching for Linux first though. Let's just hope they don't squander their launch flair while most potential customers won't be able to buy it. It's hard as it is to get a spotlight on Steam, and it's made even harder by the concept of multiple releases for so many games.
To remain in Steam Greenlight and qualify for distribution via Steam, your game must at least run on a Windows PC. You can also be developing for any other platform you like, but we are only able to support PC, Mac and Linux releases at this time.
