(I think I also owe you a review of Alum, and hope to get around to that one of these days.)

Quoting: SpeedsterYes, I'll report back once I've finished it. So far, I don't think there's any cause for concern, since the protagonist is a very capable young girl, who is in control of her own fate. The puzzles I've encountered can also be solved by logical thinking, and I have yet to resort to trial and error.Quoting: tkoniczI really enjoy Adventures, but the Daedalic-Games were always rather disappointing. The "humor" of Deponia is really strange (proud to be an asshole), even sexist and racist at times, and many riddles in most of their Games are flawed.Flesk, would you let us know after you're finished if any of this applies to Anna's Quest? And also whether it has a solid ending?

Happy anniversary to Liam and everyone else in the GOL community! :) Though a certain amount of drama is unavoidable, I still think this is one of the most positive gaming communities around.

^ I can relate to that. It's not as bad as the Runaway games or Simon the Sorcerer though, and I think the third Deponia game is a vast improvement over the rest of the series. I rather enjoyed The Whispered World (on Windows) in spite of the annoying protagonist and the awful ending, and I think there's a lot of talent at Daedalic. That said, this game was designed by another developer, and I also think the BoUT games are by far the best German adventure games (that I've played).
EDIT: That was meant to be in response to tkonicz' comment.

Quoting: GuestSpacechem has a terrible tutorial, and of course TIS-100 has none, so I’m gonna avoid anything made by Zachtronics until further notice. But TIS-100 has the best ever tutorial in the form of an authentic looking scanned reference manual! What more could you possibly want!? :P

I agree that the writing in Portal 2 is awful. I did mostly enjoy it as a puzzle game though, but it felt a lot more guided than the first game, and it got tedious long before I finished it. In my opinion, The Talos Principle is a much better game, and up there with Portal. The writing is superb and though the puzzles are as linear as those of Portal 2, the gameplay is spiced up by the often insanely clever overworld puzzles.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with a straight-up third-person puzzler though, and I think there's a good chance I might enjoy this mod.

Looks interesting to me. Especially since it has HDMI out and Bluetooth connectivity. That means it should be able to double as a Steam Link, right?

Yeah, a DRM free version would be great. There's a wishlist item [External Link] for the game, but none for the movie short.

This game uses their in-house MMO engine, right, so maybe there's a higher chance we might see their other MMOs on Linux now too? Personally, I'm not all that interested in their games (except for The Longest Journey), but it's always nice to see a new developer targeting Linux.
