SteamWorld Heist Has A First Gameplay Trailer
3 Apr 2015 at 5:40 pm UTC

I liked SteamWorld Dig a lot too, but I had had my fill on it by the time I got through it. I think I'll enjoy the change in gameplay, and I'll probably buy this game the moment it's out.

Hehe. ;) What did you think of CLARC (if you played it that is)? I didn't like the action sequences in it at all, but the more puzzle-y stealth elements were pretty interesting, and I overall really liked the game. I might write a review of it sometime.

Yeah, me too. Would be great to get a Linux version of Pac-Man Championship Edition too, but with Namco Bandai as publisher I don't think there's much chance of that happening.

Quoting: FutureSutureRead the title as Legend of Grimrock 2 now being available for Linux. Can't say I am not disappointed.
Sorry to disappoint. Not sure I'd call that a casual adventure game though. :P

Quoting: fleskAnother one that I wanted to write up, but decided against when it wasn't doing so good is The Song of Seven [External Link] – a Zelda-esque, story-rich puzzle adventure. They are currently at less than $6000 of their $8000 goal with a little over a day to go, but they did get a notice written up on Destructoid [External Link] yesterday, so maybe that'll give them a much needed upswing at the end of their campaign.
A massive rush of pledges over the last day brought this one well past its goal, and it still has a couple of hours to go! :D

Shadowgate (2014) Point & Click Adventure Released For Linux
26 Mar 2015 at 2:31 pm UTC

I played the NES version when I was a kid, but I don't think I ever got through that one. I backed the Kickstarter campaign for this game (before I stopped backing Windows game campaigns), so I started playing the game a bit yesterday and it looks very good so far. The atmosphere is exactly as I remembered it from the old game but this one seems to have mechanics in place to make the game a bit more forgiving if you want.

Quoting: KallestofelesHow in the world is one supposed to get the Linux version off the GOG? I only get windows version...
That's odd. I've sent the developer a tweet asking about it, but in the meantime you could just download them with the Dropbox links.

Quoting: FeistI was pretty depressed over the failure of "Seven Dragon Saga", that I had high hopes for:

Me too. I had planned to write up that one, but with so little time left of the campaign and so long to go to reach funding, it wasn't worth it.

Quoting: linuxgamerCool! Like the game, first day Linux support should be rewarded.
Yeah, I will definitely pick this one up on release. Day one support is a good way to maximize profits from Linux sales.
