Survival RPG 'NEO Scavenger' Officially Launched

Yeah, I really wish more developers started using Haxe too. From what I've heard, the jump from ActionScript isn't huge, and it enables you to reach more platforms with less trouble.

Unfortunately, yes. I should have been clearer about that, and have made a minor change to the article to point that out.

No, it's 2-3 hours per playthrough according to the developer. The maps are procedurally generated, so no two playthroughs should be the same. A couple of hours or more sounds about right for a roguelike.

I think I can mention that many games that haven't been covered here from the last few weeks alone. There are ways to change that though. ;)
Lumino City has been confirmed for Linux. Unfortunately with Adobe Air, but it's better than nothing. It got an encrypted Linux depot on Steam a couple of days ago, so hopefully it won't be too long until a Tux icon appears on Steam.

I played through the demo on Steam earlier this week and really liked it. So much so that I bought the full game earlier today, even though I have a huge backlog of games at the moment.
I didn't struggle with the direction changing thing, but it probably helps a lot that I've played NightSky.
I asked the developer about a DRM free version and they said they plan on putting the game on both Desura, GOG and the Humble Store.
EDIT: I think I misunderstood which level you were having problems with. The one where you have to clear a large gap requires you to gain momentum with a normal sized ball and then quickly make the ball smaller just before you reach the edge. This launches the ball across the gap.

Wadjet Eye Games Reveals Mystery Point-And-Click Adventure, Plus Notes On AdventureX 2014

Probably has a lot to do with the increasing popularity of tablets, since point-and-clicks are near perfect for those devices. And possibly crowd-funding, since they might be the kind of games that are too ambitious to be making on your own in your spare time, but not mainstream enough to be of interest to most publishers.
Yeah, I love Wadjet Eye Games too. I think their main strength is in the writing. I'm looking forward to seeing Dave Gilbert's talks from AdventureX once they're uploaded. He did one called "Shutup! Creating better dialogs with fewer words" that sounds very interesting. It's a good quality in a writer to be able to tell a lot and build atmosphere without using too many words.

Quoting: Pixel-TuxThanks for writing about this. I love Wadjet Eye Games!
I've been trying to get into the Deponia series now that it is on Linux. But despite Deponia's great visuals, I still like Gemini Rue and the Blackwell series way more. They have great stories and logical puzzles.
