The Uno Platform (Pronounced 'Oono' or 'Ouno')
Wait what? I wasn't confused on how to say it until now. Is it not like the Spanish word? Or am I miss pronouncing the pronunciation? I'm so confused, lol
I'm not a native English speaker either, but I think you'd normally pronounce it "juno" in English, hence the clarification.

I also have good past experiences with HeidiSQL and DBeaver, although, in my experience, they have trouble refreshing stale connections. For Oracle databases (*ptooey*), SQLDeveloper is pretty good, but it's quite resource hungry, and tends to lock up after a while. These days, the SQL client built into IntelliJ IDEA is my favorite, since it doesn't have either of those issues, is quite feature rich, and I use the IDE for most of my development work anyway.

A Monster's Expedition, one of 2020's best puzzle games is now on Linux

I'm very happy that this is finally working on Linux now. Huge thanks to Alan Hazelden and Ethan Lee. I got a test build a few days ago, so I've already made good progress, but I can tell it's going to take a long time to play through it all.

Anyone who has been playing the game on Proton should make sure they back up their progress though, as Steam seems to wipe cloud saves from Proton when a native version is released:

Perspective puzzle game Superliminal is out now on Steam, along with Linux support

I bought Superliminal yesterday, and thought it was great fun. I haven't played it all the way through yet, but probably will during the weekend. None of the puzzles so far have been particularly difficult, but they don't need to be for me to enjoy it.

Viewfinder also looks interesting. I hope it will get a Linux version.

In the long run please consider running a federated Lemmy instance ( https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy [External Link] ) instead of your regular forum :)
This looks interesting, but . . . from that page I went to their webpage, and I can't figure out how to contact them to tell them there's a grammatical error in their top paragraph of their front page. They do have a "contact us" thingie, but when I went there it turns out I'm not cool enough to contact them if I don't already use Mastodon or whatever. Doesn't leave a good taste in my mouth, and doesn't make me think they're likely to be good at building a social network.
It's not the use of the Oxford comma? The front page is built from this template, so you could probably make an issue or a pull request to have it fixed:

Monochrome RPG is channelling 1920s animation into a comedy adventure

Looks fun! Also reminds me of Fleish & Cherry in Crazy Hotel, which has a similar style, but hasn't been released yet.

Quoting: no_information_hereI like this game, but never finished it. This is a good reminder to go back again.
I'm in the same boat. I loved the game, but it eventually got so difficult that I needed a break from it. And as so often happens, I never got around to the getting back to it part.

A chat with Two Scoop Games about the tough-as-nails 'Kick Bot' - try the demo too

Thanks for an interesting read. I'm glad to hear that Unity is stable enough on Linux that it can be used to develop full games. Maybe that makes Linux a real alternative for the masses of indies who develop on Windows or macOS today.

I'm not sure if this game is for me, but I'll try the demo. Their puzzle prototype, PullPals sounds more up my alley. I hope they get a chance to turn that into a full game.

The Steam Game Festival: Autumn Edition is up with fresh demos to play

I played Skellboy Refractured yesterday, which is an action adventure made in a cardboard cutout style. I wasn't sure what to make of it when I saw it, but I thought the story and dialogue was fun, and the gameplay is interesting.

I also played Jumpala, which is a competitive action platformer that can be played against an AI opponent. It seemed pretty smooth to play, but it's really not my type of game.

Thanks for the suggestion! Quite liked the demo, finished it using 2189 left clicks.

I'm not sure if you got stuck on the same place I did, finding the twins? I had to seek help from a walkthrough in the end. But the issue was more like a design bug than an actual puzzle I think.

Curiously the game does seem to have some kind of hint feature that kicked in (unnecessarily) when looking for one of the other kids.
I updated my just a few minutes before you posted. It was her companion, Neemo, I missed, half hidden in the shadows. Not super difficult to find, I know, but it's too easy to overlook things in games like this, and often that spoils the fun for me.

I didn't notice the hints, but I'll admit, I skipped a bunch of dialogue when I played today, since I got a bit impatient with having to start over from the beginning. I noticed that the game was saved at some point when I played, but that was later in the demo than where I got to yesterday.

My stats are 41:18 minutes, 639 left clicks, 14 right clicks, and 17/25 achievements, but I didn't need as many clicks, since I already knew what I was doing for the first part of the demo.
